Ah, F.E.A.R. So many good memories. Anything but realistic, but still a damn good game to this day. Trepang's fantastic, too, but it's got some _biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiig_ shoes to fill if it wants to succeed F.E.A.R.

We shall see, Trepang2 seems to be getting very close to release, seeing as the developers said it was almost done by the end of 2022, but they decided to take more time for polish

Fear and trepang 2 are very different games in a few ways like fear is a little more tactical with heavier movement and smarter enemies while trepang 2 is a little more exillerating and faster paced with more movement but worse ai

honestly watching this just makes me more impressed with F.E.A.R.

You forgot to aim down sights in Trepang2, since there is an ADS cheat. In it, the ADS function is enabled for all weapons, and it involves a user actually align the (iron) sights with their eyes (unlike F.E.A.R.’s ADS functionality, which basically involves the camera zooming in and nothing more).

No no. Its like comparing a M1911 to a Kimber 1911. One is rugged, old, should be obsolete but refuse to be so. It's the gold standard for pistols. But shows its ages and can't hold it own ground as it was once. But the Kimber is everything the old M1911 is today. But modernised. Its modern, slick, with new updated technology. It's, dare I say, better. One is the legend that built its reputation. The other is upholding it's legacy.

Okay i kind of can understand why recoil is bad in F.E.A.R. 1 it was years ago. But what the fuck if wrong with Trepang2 recoil? If F.E.A.R 1 shows little to no recoil Trepang2 sets it to maximum.

There's this little thing called effective range, basically every gun has one. Joked aside it's probably more for aesthetic reasons than anything else but you can turn off how extreme it is in the settings as far as camera shake/ head bob goes.

​@@nik0208 One thing I would say is unfair about the comparison is that he's shooting at the skybox (no reactivity) for F.E.A.R and shooting at the environment for Trepang2 which helps convey the power of the weapon. And he did that for some reason for the F.E.A.R 3 comparison as well. I would not be surprised if he prefers Trepang2 with the way he decided to approach this.

​​@@idakevtrepang² still has less interactivity with the environment and overall less attention to detail when compared to the original fear. and for me, fear explosions, muzzleflashes, sounds and sparks look and sound better lol.

Of all the things the ATC did, i'm pretty sure putting the SL-8 on full auto is literally the least horrible thing they did.
