    @@TheLifeofRon If you train in a martial art and become instructor level in that system. Or in more systems. At least advanced level equivalent to black belt would even look better than not. I don't think Dale mentioned earning even 1 black belt. I can tell his technique is very unrefined and sloppy even when he shows stuff. That UFC guy and others are just being nice and encouraging the living meme.

    1) People need to realise that Dale techniques are legit but it's also situational. 2) Dale's techniques are used against untrained crooks. It's like me going into a fight with a professional boxer, I will lose. 3) You need to train, you can't have a slow ass reaction time and expect the techniques to work. Same goes for sports. 4) As Dale said, you use the techniques depending on the situation so don't expect it to work 100% of the time. 5) In real circumstances, the bandits don't normally hold the gun properly and often doesn't have the best aim. Example, this is why alot of them shoot from close range or walk up to shoot their victims.

  • @Nethezbet

    @Nethezbet

    2 жыл бұрын

    1) No, most are not. Sure, broken clocks and all, but most of it is BS. There is a reason he is mocked. If "situational" means the situation he creates then sure. They will work against an unresisting opponent who does what he is told. 2) There is truth that bad technique can beat someone untrained, but some of the stuff he trains (1v5 with a straight face? That is a recipe for disaster) won't work against even a common thug. Gun disarms only work when someone is close enough to club you with the weapon. 3) 100% true 4) When the situation is "the bad guy is going along with it" they might work. He intentionally doesn't pressure test his techniques, and you CAN'T train self defense that way. 5) They also don't TEND to put it in your face, they tend to keep the weapon lower. Shooting from the hip or standing even a foot farther nullifies everything he is teaching. In my experience dealing with shit heads irl, it would seem Dale really doesn't know what he is talking about. He creates situations that never happen to then create the solution to a problem that doesn't exist. I am not downplaying Ron's experience with Dale, but I will absolutely call out Dale for being a bullshido master who scams people to teach them crap that won't work. Aikido masters get throttled even after having trained for decades because they have no pressure testing or real world techniques. The ones that DO have success in actual fights have changed the art so much it isn't really aikido anymore. Same for Dale's DUST.

  • @AztecUnshaven

    @@Nethezbet you are not taking into consideration Aikido practicioners from the Tenshin (Seagal and Matsuoka lineage), many of them are successful bouncers and or paramilitary, and yes Seagal has shown hands on training of this to Judo/BJJ vets). But back on topic at hand... You have no idea how efficient Dale may or may not be, until you train with him firsthand. Several self defense and MMA pros have changed their minds about him as soon as they actually FELT his methods firsthand. Give credit where credit is due. Most people wouldn't directly visit their doubters, but Dale has multiple times.

You did not trash him at all, which many people who do not even know him are doing. Your video actually changed my mind about Dale. I went into it with little to no respect for him other than maybe as a showman, but came out of it respecting him as a businessman, and as someone who is really dedicated to his clients. From Dale's video's I'd say he a joke and his techniques are crap leaves holes but from what your say who don't f up when doing video's he could use more time rewatching before posting. From how it sounds he runs a tight operation which is more important when managing large group of people which his personal techniques becomes less of a issues if hiring people with previous training and put in jobs they can handle. Having someone taking a nap when needed doesn't matter how good or bad they are trained. fast response time makes all the difference seeing security prevent more crime then how much training they have with that being said personally think all his personal should be licensed or in the process of getting licensed to carry firearm on the job even if not every job requires it. Keep enjoying the hate you get for doing videos lest you are honest and not just jumping on the bash on him train.

And then when you pull it out you have to do an extra step to make the blade come out. Wanted to have a fixed blade Karambit? Also traditional karambits are double-edged and that's the point of the blade. When they started making single edged karambits it made no sense. Basically it's just a box cutter.

Also my blade can be used for pressure points also if you didn’t want to physically cut someone, and if you talk to anyone who does “knife work” they can tell you it’s not the size of the blade it’s about your skills with that blade..soo “size doesn’t matter” 😉 see what I did there. It’s all about training with what you carry for EDC not everyone walking around the planet looking to harm someone is goin John wick/the final boss, criminals are clumsy, scared and full of adrenaline, if you train an practice with your equipment an learn to control you emotions under stress and duress situations NO MATTER what size blade you carry you will be victorious every time.

    @@TheLifeofRon I am not saying the blade won't work. It's sharp right? It can kill. I am just saying it's not the most advantageous or best option for actual blade fighting. In the Philippines where I did train most of the grandmasters prefer a fixed straight blade for a knife. But for shorter swords it can vary. But yeah you can use that blade you have like a kubaton/dulo dulo. But I would rather just carry a kubaton or something or a tactical flashlight for that. Kerambits are more like assassination weapons. And they only are efficient with double edged blades. In a state that does not allow double edged I would carry a longer knife. Ice pick grip is less effective in a fight when facing off. But I guess you can pull yours out if you have no other choice in a close quarter situation. Anything can happen. I would just carry a fixed blade kerambit though.

    Pretty sure with knives…. You ain’t crossing blades much like a fricking sword fighting/fencing match so length of blade doesn’t really matter. All I know is the karambit is wicked lethal and so fast and easily hidden when it is held correctly (like Ron here holds it) and every blow with that blade can be ridiculously vicious. Anyway…. I’m not really skeptical that Dale can run a company of rent a cops and successfully have qualified people stand guard at schools, gated communities, outside of a bank, etc I’m more just skeptical of his martial arts system and I would had been curios to hear you discuss that more. I’m not even saying Dale can’t hold his own in a fight, he’s a former paratrooper and a reasonably big guy, a bit fat but he’s getting old so Cant shit on him for that Now I realize you say some of those joint locks have worked for you which I really don’t doubt, but you look somewhere in between 6’1-6’4 220-250 pounds and you obviously lift a lot of weights and have a background in actual martial arts. You also say most of the time when you used these was while bouncing It seems pretty easy for a guy you’re size with your background to pull that stuff off on an unruly drunk. However I have found that those kind of techniques often fall very short when being used by a smaller individual, especially a women. And Dales gun disarms just look ridiculous I mean there are ways to disarm guns but the way he does it especially with the rifle disarm is just ridiculous, and those are really why he’s not taken seriously. The memes come from the gun disarms I’d be curious to hear your in depth response to that I’d also say Dale sounds like a guy who 1. Doesn’t put much trust in his employees 2. Is overly concerned with safety over practicality 3. Is more concerned with lawsuits over safety The whole thing with not allowing you to carry a gun is obviously him being afraid of one of his employees using it unjustly and getting him sued. I say if he’s that concerned than he should just hire more quality people and pay them a little bit more. If you can’t trust your guys to use force appropriately than they shouldn’t work for you. You’re working in Detroit, one of the most dangerous cities in America, of course everyone needs a gun. The thing with the cameras too and the stalking his employees, again, hire competent people It sounds to me like Dale was just hiring lower quality people on average so he could pay them less, then got nervous about them having guns I’d be curious to see what you’d say to all of that

Dales CQB hand to hand works great and his weapons disarms you’ll have to try in person but I did disagree with some when I worked for him and I made it known. Dale is a good guy and means well he’s been working in Detroit for 20+ years without anyone getting killed working for him or the people he was tasked to protect and that does say something and he needs credit for that. As for him not letting us carry weapons anymore, that is a question I will ask him in person when we do our video together on Aug. anything else you want me to ask him let me know and I’ll write it down and ask him. I really do appreciate you watching my video and leaving a very open minded and intelligent comment 🤟🏽.

    @@TheLifeofRon I appreciate the response from you man. People on coke definitely are hard to take down, however I’m still convinced that the fact that you’re about 250 pounds has a lot to do with it working, I’m not sure a 140 dude could pull it off on a dude with 30 pounds on him. But again I’m not super skeptical of the restraint techniques, they’re pretty similar to basic Krav Maga or MCMAP techniques or whatever they teach to police officers My concern is more with the gun disarms. Like you pointed out grabbing the slide doesn’t work all the person has to do is step back. The rifle and shotgun ones just look so ridiculous to me. Like if we watched the videos together I could just break down how many flaws are in them, and I’m sure you can see it too probably a lot better than I can since you seem to have more experience with this sort of stuff I myself am a marine infantryman, I can’t say I have a lot of experience with the world of weapons disarms and restraint, but just based on what I know a lot of his stuff seems questionable to me. I did box for two years in high school and I have done some krav maga and mcmap, which are similar to what Dale teaches. I have found that scenerio based training (as in guy grabs you here you grab him this way and do that) doesn’t really work for me, I am 5’6 and when a 200 pound guy wants to fight me I find I can do much better slipping and weaving punches and throwing shots back. If a guy tries to grab me and I try to execute some prerehearsed 3-5 step technique he will likely break out of it especially if he is stronger Maybe I just suck at these types of techniques but it’s my observation that they are effective when used by bigger people on smaller people, sometimes equal sized people. Again I don’t have experience restraining people on a daily basis so this is just based off the few scraps I’ve been in in my life Couple things I’d like to see you ask him 1. A critique of his rifle shotgun and pistol disarms 2. Why does he present his content in such a goofy way that leads people to seriously doubt its legitimacy 3. Typically among the world of security professionals there is not much disagreement. Guys live and exist purely based off their reputation, and if your reputation is poor nobody will work with you. If Dale Brown is so legitimate why is it that numerous experts to include no shit cops and retired Green Berets have mocked him as either a troll or incredibly stupid and potentially getting people killed. 4. What’s up with the goofy uniforms

    I love when the haters get called out! Your not always going to agree on everything but be respectful and professional. Most people need to stop and calm down before writing. Also how hard is it to spell words when you have spell check. Stop being ignorant and the Chris Kyle one was terrible. Reading the comments on the toilet was hilarious!🤣👏👍🍻🥃👊🏼
