On this channel we like to do a lot of dogfighting most videos are some sort of dogfight between 2 different aircraft as we explore their different capabilities. From time to time I like to dabble in Virtual Reality, I think VR is a great new technology and I love to show that stuff off for the channel from time to time.
If you enjoy war thunder or Microsoft flight simulator 2020 or even dogfighting in Battlefield 2042, consider getting yourself into Digital Combat Simulator by Eagle Dynamics, the Combat side of Aviation with the BVR and Dogfights really provides a different and interesting perspective on aviation. You can fly all kinds of combat aircraft including the F-16, F-15, F-14, JF-17, Su-27, Mig-29, Mirage and the F-18 Hornet along with many other aircraft and helicopters like the Ka-50 and Mi-8.

You've done P-51 vs F-22, how about I-16 vs SU-57? Also I like the Hornet content, as I just got the Hornet not too long ago so it's cool to see how you fly it.

Day 8 of asking for F-35 air-to-ground/SEAD missions
I was an aircraft mech in an A6 squadron on the Midway during Desert Storm. The night before we got started everyone who could, was up on deck loading bombs. 500 pounders,1000 pounders, and laser guided bombs. That first night of operations we were working 17 hours shifts. Thanks for the call back to Desert Storm

I was an AM2 12 years later with VFA-195 aboard the Kitty Hawk. Never had to help with uploading bombs, though I was sent to the flight deck to help out the lineshack.

"Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen, this is your savior speaking..." - F15
I think you're getting more cinematic - with those extreme zooms and the lingering tracking shots as the aircraft gives us a beauty roll.
The F18 may be versatile, but it still needs an amazing pilot like GS

Darn tootin!
Pretty sure that credit for your narrow escape goes to that F-15... AND me., You see, when you said "Pray for me, guys" I realized that your ACTUAL mission took place well before this video was posted, so... ...I made sure to send a RETROACTIVE prayer. (You're welcome. 😃)
I was gonna say, it's good to finally see you use the F/A-18 the way it was intended, both the F and the A.
This was intense and exciting. Please, please, please more operation dessert storm and classic battles. Some of the Israeli air wars would be amazing. Have you ever considered doing some of the classic "Dogfights" reenactments? I would love to see it.

Don’t forget the India-Pakistan wars. Does DCS even have the Folland Gnat?
These type of engagements are so much more interesting than the 1v1’s
No HMD in desert storm either. Cool fight man.
THe Hornet is a true multitasker of a fighter!
Most excellent mission! Showcases the F-18 beautifully!
Fantastic Mission! Love the complex, difficult environments! Great Video as always GS, Thank You.
Love seeing all the different angles, really puts things in perspective! Would also love to see more of merging with multiple bandits, definitely showcases your skills.
thanks for all the constant uploads ! take a well deserved break dude
8:19 great opportunity missed there to put a clip about eagles arriving from LOTR 😀
That was an awesome video! Really showing the capability of the Hornet. NICE!!!
It's my favorite fighter. It can do ANYTHING, and do it extremely well.
You make DCS into such an art form, loved this vid so much!
I love these mission videos like this. Great stuff!
I was too happy to see this pop up. I was airframe mech on 18s but I wrenched on the deltas(2 seat version on the ones flown in this vid for those that were curious) VMFA-533 You treated these proper, bro. Keep up the great work.
Great video, loved the mission aspect. Not sure if it's my connection or what, but this the best looking video from you I've ever seen, tremendous details I haven't seen before.
Nice! Love seeing the Hornet doing Air to Ground missions while handling Air to air at the same time! 🤩🤩
Now THAT was a sick ass video. Bravo Sir
I'd just like to say, I cant stop watching your videos. They are awsome, cant wait to get into this sim stuff.
Great video!! Love your content good sir!! 🤙👍 I can’t wait to learn and play this game, hoping Christmas brings me what I need for head tracking 😊😊
I watch EVERY episode. Totally hooked.
This was awesome please post more f18 missions!
I'm hooked on these episodes with possible senerio like desert storm. More!!!!
I love the Hornet. No matter the profile, it's a beautiful aircraft.
Finally a SEAD video, it’s been a while 😊
Gs I love your videos keep up the great work

Good to hear 👍 Thanks for the explanations
So chaotic and tense. I love scenarios like this where i dont know if you succed or get shot down. I also like the ''combined arms'' type of missions with different aircraft types
Beautiful
You make this look so easy
Great video. Would love to see more stuff like this. Love the videos with a lot of fighters. Love the confusion. Makes it feel more real. Maybe try a "modernized" desert storm with newer planes? Could be cool.. either way. Love it
Scratch two booze-carriers! Neatly done, man. Merry Christmas to you and yours.
Very cool scenario!
Those CCIP drop are really awesome to see .
Great video. Were HMDs fielded in Desert Storm? I think that tech came later. .. Same for datalink as well, although I’m less certain…
So cool. It would be awesome to see a night time version of Desert Storm. Regardless, great job as always GS.
Great Drop
Kick arse! Good vid this one :)
There is that fitting outro soundtrack again!
Great video today.
hi, i love your videos continue with that and congratulation to more than 500k subs.
That was spicy! We don't say it enough, but thank you for all your hard work keeping us entertained with fantastic content! Still would love to see you reenact the Ofira Air Battle from the start of the Yom Kippur War.
Another Epic
That was cool 😎
Love the Hornet!
brutal parce!!!!
Wow, GS, that quickly got... intense - and a lot MORE intense than I expected. QUESTION : Would that have even been close if you hadn't been so weighed-down with your bomb load? (BTW, great mission with some real nail-biting moments 👋👍❤- thanks and Happy Holidays, LS!)
yes, more Hornet please !!!
This was great! Could you maybe add the whole return to base part? Like carrier landing in this case? That’d be awesome 😊

Yeah @GrowlingSidewinder im thinking you might get some bang for your buck by retaining your classic 15-minute-or-so format but also adding longer form versions for some missions - might even been an op to start a second youtube channel!
🎉 super video
UNREAL!!,
Always love seeing the hornet in some multirole. Always gets overshadowed by the f16 and f15 but is a true workhorse
This is the first time I saw you flying my old squad number!! VFA 106
Damn your wingman put in work, usually he dies in the first two minutes lol
Awesome. I really like these Iraqi airspace scenarios. More!!
Sweet drop could not have been any better
You should do more Hornet strike missions from Desert Storm and Iraqi Freedom. I grew up playing the F/A-18 OIF simulator, this video met my nostalgic needs lol.
Dude! If that was a real engagement, your voice would've been SO many octaves higher! Hahaha Thanks man.
🔥🔥🔥
Love your videos! Have a question though, can’t the enemy see cruise missiles coming at them?
@GrowlingSidewinder
6 ай бұрын
Sure, although some missiles are stealth, actually the concept of stealth was applied to missiles before it was applied to aircraft. And seeing them is also useless if you don’t have system to intercept like the s300/patriot
Sitting watching you in dire straits thinking "you could do with a Han Solo to bail you out now" and boom! Enter the F-15 Millennium Eagle to the rescue! 🤣
Haha that was an intense mission
The Eagle and the Hornet are both McDonnell Douglas designs. Big brother was just looking out for little brother.
An amazing aircraft like all the teen series, unfortunately the only one confirmed killed in air to air combat by a MiG, there are many claims that are credited to SAMs and AAA for the F-16/15 but a MiG-25 has a confirmed kill on the F-18 during desert storm. Iranian F-14s were also shot down by Iraqis but the claims are disputed.
This game looks so good. How intensive is it for your system? and how do u control all the cockpit buttons
You have a lot of very entertaining missions there. Any chance you share a few for us . Not everyone can make some magic using the tool to create missions. just Talking about me 😂
The CAP was putting in WORK in this one!
Jolly Roger's did this exact thing. ☠️
I Love the legacy Hornet
My dad served in desert storm as a tanker.
great ' distractor ' tactitian today :)
“we are in deep doo-doo” that’s how you know he gonna die (plot twist: someone shot that MiG down)
@RT42069
5 ай бұрын
No, not necessarily. Now, if he said "I think we're good" THEN he's probably going to die
Probably should have turned those flashing lights off if you’re deep in enemy territory!
I would imagine the planes next to those blinders aren't in good shape either after that.
I would love to get a high end computer but like I just got a computer and will probably have it for another few years before considering a new computer. ANYWAYS. FA-18C WE GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Somewhere above the sea, a lonely Foxbat awaits the return of GS…
I would really like to see SU-27/30/33 vs Rafael! really interesting matchup IMO
F15s will always have your back
This was originally nicknamed the Bullshot... that's not a typo... But NATO still thought it was "inappropriate" 🤦♂️🤣
More Hornet content please
F16 vs J10C would be interesting
Air to Air: Fox1-2-3 👿 Air to ground: Rifle 😈 Air to ground bomb: pickle 🤓
Is there a way you can make the F15 carry meteors to somewhat imitate what it would be like if the F15 had longer range missles?
How about a video on that F16 that had to evade all those SAMs- I think his callsign was "Stroke 1"?
