A beautiful recreation of the most Iconic photo of the entire war
The iconic Oil field scene recreation is just awesome.
Seeing multiple classic photographs recreated in extensive detail; as a tribute to those who fought valiantly to keep us free and safe was amazing to watch. A salute to all the brave men and women who sacrifice _everything_ in the name of defending freedom and honor: Before, Now, and Forever More.
Great job with this! 87-0257 was my aircraft from Torrejon AB, Spain and was destroyed by a SAM. The pilot was taken POW and survived. This brings back so many memories.

I looked it up. He took an SA-3 just south of Baghdad. Major Jeffrey Scott Tice piloting. Flew 150 miles after the hit, but didn't make it all the way out of Iraqi airspace. You were ground crew for the plane? I know you guys own the bird and the pilot only borrows it :P Y'all get each other drunk when he came home?

Amazing man, i live in Spaim and is an honor have pilots we fight in gulf war in our bases. In what plane you flight ?
Ok, I've watched many cinematics over the years. Some are fantasy, and many are a mix of rapid cuts that make no sense. But yours is grounded on reality, it is easy to understand. I saw on TV all those images of bombs hitting bunkers and bridges, F-117s flying under NVGs... wow...congratulations to you and your team for a job well done.
The attention to detail in this was awesome. Using markings for units that were there and adding radio traffic from the conflict. Serious props for that.
I absolutely love that reference to my favorite all time picture of Desert Storm, with the two F-16s, Two Mudhens, and the F-15C flying over the burning oil fields. Pure art. Desert Storm is my favorite military conflict of all time, and you captured its essence beautifully
Desert Storm vet....this vid brought back memories. I'd say you nailed it on imagery, music, and choreography! Thanks for making this!
Let's bow our heads, give a moment of silence and place our right hand over our heart for all those who gave the ultimate sacrifice to keep our freedoms alive. And give thanks to all of our surviving veterans. May it be a Happy Memorial Day. Enjoy.
My father was deployed to this war. There was any social media during that time and he was stationed in some remote area, so I couldn't directly talk to him. This video pretty much captured how I tracked the war on TV. I was in awe of the aircraft and tech on display. Who remembers those trading cards? lol

Wow thanks for your fathers service. My father too was in desert storm but I wasn't around yet to see anything about the war.
I can remember the exact moment when Desert Shield, Desert Storm started. I was in middle school my dad was about to retire from the Airforce and he had to stay in.
I had insane chills watching the first 1:00 of this video with headphones. I cant even imagine how that would look like in a movie theater.
My uncle served in the US Army from 1975 to 1995. This was the last war he did before his retirement and iam glad hes still with us to this day, the best uncle i ever had
You captured the most successful air war in history artfully in a sim not known for being the prettiest bell at the ball.
The music matches so well with these clips!♥

This is why you're the best DCS content creator out there. The amount of attention to detail and recreation of real life events and photos are simply stunning
Raising the bar for DCS Cinematics. Thumbs up and subscribed.
Perfect music for this. I remember waiting to see Gen. Norman Schwarzkopf give his daily briefings replaying the pin-point accuracy of laser guided munitions striking targets, etc. I was waiting for my unit to get the final call to deploy but we never did. Thanks for this. Excellent work.
My father served as a weather logistics officer in Diego Garcia supporting the B-52s, he was always disappointed when no one knew about the desert storm operation. Thank you for giving it the recognition it deserves :)

WELL DONE!!! you nailed so many cool aspects of the conflict and the equipment used along with proper livery for the the time… I got shivers down me spine when the strike eagles went to work
That was an amazing cinematic! I bet that was a ton of work. I hope you will consider making more in the future. I liked, subscribed and shared.
I remember myself growing up watching Discovery Channel and History Channel as a little child and being mesmerized by the sheer volume, scale and vibes of Desert Storm even though I couldn't understand it, I felt it I couldn't bring myself to watch anything for my age after seeing the footage and the stories behind them
At 2:10 is when the A-6 comes on and another group, probably my favorite aircraft used in the operation
I noticed how you perfectly recreated real pictures and videos from the war, honestly amazing great work and very impressive skills especially with the editing.
These are so captivating. Never stop making cinematics!
Fantastic Edit!! Would have loved to see the recreation of that famous photo with the two Mirage F1's, the F/A-18 and the F16 that just happens to be my desktop background lol

The flak scenes were perfect! Absolutely awesome.
The '91 Gulf War was really the end of an era in a way. It was the first major conflict post-Cold War, but the last to feature some very well-known aircraft and vehicles of the US Cold War military in combat. The A-7 Corsair II and F-4 Phantom flew their final combat sorties in '91, and it was the 2nd to last time the A-6 Intruder was used as well (the last time being over Bonsia in 1994). The Gulf War was also the last time the Huey was used actively in combat by the US Army (though it as not officially removed from inventory until as late as 2015 due to being used for training and medevac). The M60 tanks were last used in combat in the Gulf by the USMC; they switched to the M1A1 soon after, but their M60s were first into Kuwait City.
The Eagle is the GOAT
Nailed it for the feels from the 1991 Gulf War.
Hey! I recognize those F4E! Glad to see them still being used despite everything. Great cinematic Phenom! And I appreciate the music choice; it's fitting for the gulf war. Love the recreated shots also.

1991 !!! When war was still fun !!! (Even if for oil as usual)
I always say that the Gulf War of 1991 was arguably one of the most fascinating war in gistory, because of how technology and air power can end a war in months. Also the era and the circumstances of when and how it happened makes it interesting. Just think about it, beggining ot the 90's, soon dissolution of the USSR, end of the iron curtain, end of the cold war, almost internet era, democratic wind of change in eastern Europe. It might be beacuse I'm from Hungary and from our prespective it was a very tumultuous era, but I just think it was a very important part of modern history. Best cinematic I've seen so far regarding Operation Desert Storm, and I'm sure I'll come back to this video many times in the future.
That is pure perfection
The amount of effort you put into this video really shows! Great work!

The reason America doesn't have free healthcare:
@jlight7346
2 ай бұрын
The US actually spends more on healthcare per capita than any other nation. It’s just one huge tangled mess of aid programs and insurance crap that make it extremely inefficient. If you ironed all that out, you could actually decrease the medical budget by a substantial amount while still delivering the best healthcare in the world.
@rainerbowden2714

@@jlight7346 why does it cost like $20,000 just to give birth?
@jlight7346
2 ай бұрын
@@rainerbowden2714 You’re missing the point. If you took away all the government spending (hypothetically, assuming the rest of the healthcare industry wouldn’t change), that cost would be WAY higher. Part of the reason why costs get so high is because the government is so willing to just throw money at the problem without really thinking about it. It’s like the government bailing out students with massive student loans. The schools are just gonna keep jacking prices up because they know they’re gonna get paid whether or not the student is the one paying them.
