I was excited hearing the "American Cream Draft" in Belle's DNA! THAT'S AWESOME! Those horses are almost extinct, so that's pretty cool that you have some of that DNA trotting around your farm!❤ I love drafts, both your girls are beautiful!

I was just posting about a horse I used to ride, albeit not the same breeds involved but a similar 3/4 draft to 1/4 lighter breed, and the results are usually amazing. I'm just hoping to see the same kinda thing from ezzy, big, gentle and lots of potential.

I can absolutely see Belgian & Clydesdale! Way to go Ezzy! Way to go Belle! I believe EZZY will be every bit as big as BELLE!💜💜

When they run they both have a natural grace and beauty. I fell in love with Belle running in the snow the first day you put her out to meet the herd. They make my heart sing.

@@ehayes7849 I’m assuming that belle herself was owned by Amish at some point, and they’re known for only really owning workhorses. Anything that can pull a plow or a wagon, essentially. That’s why she says the mixture of draft and saddle horse makes sense. As far as I know they don’t own or breed horses that are more for show or racing, such as Arabians, andalusians or Appaloosa. I’m sure there’s some mixed individuals that are exceptions to that generalization though.

Bravo on raising Ezzy to be a polite, well mannered big baby. It shows in your videos while with her. Like not being nippy, or trying to run by and kick towards you. You have gained her respect.

I can say for a certainty that Ezzy is 100% adorable, beautiful, and precious. You really hit the jackpot when you bought Belle. Not only did you get a gorgeous, magnificent mare, but also an amazing surprise foal. Your intuitive instincts are right on! Well done! 👍😍❤️💕 PS: Your hair looks gorgeous!

I kept thinking maybe she has some Clydesdale because she is so big and has the beard and such. But then I thought I probably just have Oliver on the brain🤣. Can’t wait to see her grow up. She's going to carry herself so well! I was totally thinking shire with the beard and floofage, but that's such a fun mix. So excited to see what breeds really present themselves as she ages

I have to say, whenever Ezzie gets in the picture, I have to smile, she is so special. I see her personality is like yours: joyful, curious, loving and outgoing. Nice work Auntie.

I am a 6’2” gal, so I have loved Belle from the start . And Ezzy DOES seem to be quite the substantial filly!!! Love that she’s shedding into ‘gray girl’ territory. Thank you for taking us on this journey!! So much fun! I am a lover of Genetics as well!

I have been watching KZread Friesian foals for some time and they are so beautiful and delicate. They remind me of fairy horses. But watching Ezzy is really fun. She has been so sturdy from the beginning . . . and sociable. She seems calm, like her mother. Clydesdale!?! Can't wait to see how she grows.

I started watching and her head reminded me of Oliver's over at Homestead Horsemanship so I guessed she had some Clydesdale in her. So cool to see. She's got a gorgeous mix!

Saddlebred being my favorite breed, I'm so excited about that! I thought she was mostly draft with a little refinement. But in one video, she was tearing around, then stopped with her head pretty high, and I thought HELLO. I didn't think Saddlebred specifically, but I knew there was more there. There is absolutely nothing Arab about her.

I've always thought Belle is a stunningly beautiful horse. I find myself drawn to draft breeds, so it pleases me that they are predominantly draft. IMO, it was a lucky day you found Belle and won the bidding at the sale - and a lucky day for her and Izzy! 🥰

Win-win...I ❤ Clydesdales, Shires, Belgian; all the drafts are so magnificent. I fell in love with the Clydesdales when I was a child; flipped out when I saw my first Gypsy Vanner and flipped out again when I laid eyes on my first Shire...they are so impressive. I am still amazed by the sheer number of different and amazing horse breeds. As for Belle and Ezzy... they're GRAND! ❤😊

I hope you will train Ezzy to be a riding and driving horse and keep her for Kyle.

Ezzy is certainly a mixed bag of genetic components! With her blue/light eyes and gray coat, there could be color dilute genes, as in dogs; a color genetics test could be interesting, too. It's going to be fun watching her mature. Anxious to learn Belle's new genetic results. Curious to see which breed(s) will predominate Ezzy's phenotype. How exciting! I just love that dynamic duo. You do great work, Shae, and take such good care of your horses. Thanks for sharing.

The cream gene from Belle resulted in the buckskin coloration she originally showed but is disappearing because she is graying out. It also gave her the amber eyes which will darken as she ages. She got the gray gene from the mare and looks like she will gray out much faster than her dam is doing.

Shae…please keep us updated as you chart Ezzy’s growth. She is so precious and just warms our hearts. Love how motherly Belle is. Our granddaughter has about 7 horses and is now into barrel racing. Prior to that she did English riding. My husband and I are much older and health problems prevent us from going out very often. So, it’s a delight to follow you and your horses. We were pleasantly surprised when the association with who our granddaughter was entered into competition with went live via KZread so we were able to watch her race even though she was in Waco and we are in Houston. Love high tech!

Belle has so much dignity & Ezzy is precious as can be..DNA testing is so fun. I love knowing one of my dog's DNA results. I've never heard of Freiberger or Mangalarga Paulista & found out the following in case anyone else is interested: Freiberger is a light draft from Switzerland & the Mangalarga Paulista was developed in Brazil for hunting & working cattle by crossing the Mangalarga Marchador with Thoroughbred, Arabian, Saddlebred & Lusitano breeds.

Oh she has transformed so much since she was born. Foals are amazing that way, they go through such intense and obvious transformations in such short times! I'm so excited to see Ezzy grow even more based off of these tests.

Ezzy and Belle have basicly become the mascots for free spirit equestrian I'm sure they are popular for her students as well how could you not fall in love with Ezzy and Belle there so sweet 💕💕💕

Cream drafts don't actually have the cream gene, they're champagne genetically.

I am a HUGE clyde/perch fan, love them so much to the point where I can almost tell if a horse has them mixed in somewhere. when you said perch honestly I was shocked, I couldnt see it at all. but then when the test showed clyde instead it all made sense. I cant wait to see her grown up, shes beautiful and so lucky to be raised by you guys (belle as well) ❤

Oh what a proud momma/grandma you are. It doesn't matter what Ezzy's DNA is, she is beautiful foal and I believe will be a Heart Horse just like Jiminy Cricket.
