Hi John and thank u so much for your kind words and support and for checking out this lesson - really appreciated. Yes, often a capo will be used to move the key signature of a song more into the vocalist range. But there are other reasons to use a capo as well. Some use it as a means to get a more open sound and not use barre chords. Some like the tone too. Enjoy and stay tuned - lots more lessons and content coming soon. Hi Bob and thanks so much for checking out this lesson - most appreciated. I understand your frustration at the talking early in the lesson - please keep in mind that these lessons are for all level players - so we try and be as thorough as possible as if a beginner player is watching they might want to listen to the whole tutorial, but if more advanced players are watching they can fast forward to the parts they would like to watch. So we try and include it all so players from all levels can learn. Thats kind of our philosophy. We do try to edit the lessons down and make them as tight and short as possible but not leave any holes. Just wanted to explain what teaching philosophy we are coming from - hope that helps. And be sure to take a good look around the channel as we have tons of killer content and lessons taught in the same format - lots of fun stuff. Enjoy and stay tuned - lots more lessons coming soon. Keep up all that hard work on that guitar and please subscribe to the channel. Take care, and rock on! -David Taub, Next Level Guitar Inc. & EGI
