    Nice one!! But a trick that i've always found easier to tune into drop d, is making sure that that the 7th fret of the E string sound exactly the same as the open A string!! 😁

    I learned about Hammorons when I learn bass. My first song I played Yes Roundabout. Then I stated playing guitar . I used ha mor ons to Led Zeppelin. .

    Open 3rd 5th 7th 10th 12th frets for drop D power chords. Excuse me Im just making a note of the fret positions. Great video btw!

    How about improvising on the fly?. It is really not that difficult. Choose few chords that fit good together like Am, C, Dm, E, 2 rounds and then back loop Dm, C, E, Am, and Dm, C, Am, Em, and you can get back to the starting chords Am, C, Dm, E. ---- You can do strumming, fingerstyle or combination of both, put different rhythms to it. It is totally cool and even beginners can easy get into it.

    I call your simulated drop D simply drop E. The D chord becomes an E chord. I do most of my writing and arranging in Drop E. As a solo fingerstyle guitarist, it makes be sound very different from other artists and gives my arrangements an exotic and deep sound.
