You know… It always makes me feel better when people admit they take an anti-depressant like it’s nothing. I’ve had to take one since 2010. Then I lost my health insurance because I couldn’t work anymore so I couldn’t afford that particular antidepressant, Cymbalta, which helps with pain, anxiety and depression. Then I crashed and went into a tailspin because of having to try cheap and in effective types and believe it or not it finally went generic. I don’t think I could ever stop taking this and like you said especially now! Thank you for space being so upfront about that because it makes people like me feel better knowing that people like you need something to help them as well!

Christina Knapp I take Cymbalta too. I didn’t start it until after it went generic thankfully because Medicare pays for it. I too couldn’t work anymore after 2010 and I got declared disabled due to chronic pain in 2013. It really helps me too. Take care, Leslie

I take Paxil CR for anxiety. I have been since 2001. I’ve tried many times to stop it but my panic attacks come back, so I guess my brain needs it. There is no shame in it. Sometimes our brains are wired different, not bad, just different.🥰

Hi Nisha I'm glad someone else isn't blown away by Natasha Denona eye pallet. I think they are expensive for what they are . The plastic looks really cheap . CTs pallets feel more substantial. And the eyeshadow is better (in my opinion) .i to take antidepressants but like you say the situation doesn't help .stay safe and fabulous. 💋❤💋

Hi Nisha! Glad you got to go wild for an hour or two. I'm getting a little fed up with being inside. It's been cold here in Toronto all month. We just got into the 10+ Celcius temperatures, but my tulips are coming up, so that makes me happy. To help get those contacts in, tilt your head away from the mirror and look at yourself sideways. So you are looking at yourself out of the corner of your eye (you want as much of the white part of your eye showing as possible). Also, use one drop of the contact solution inside the lens after you put it on your fingertip. That will help it to pop onto your eye and kind of suction it there as soon as the liquid touches your eye. Try to place the lens on the white part of your eye, NOT the coloured part. It will automatically adjust to the right position when you blink your eye. The hardest part of doing contacts is when people try to put it right on their iris. You see this thing coming at your eye, so you automatically blink to protect yourself. By putting on the white part, you don't have the same reaction. It will take you a minute to get the right position for you, but hold your eyelid open with the other hand, so that you don't blink down, look sideways in the mirror, and pop that bad boy in. Piece of cake. Love to you, Nancy in Toronto

I’m in the US I got two smaller ND palettes based on different KZreadr recommendations and I regret both. I chalked it up to not knowing how to makeup as well as they do. I much prefer the $3 ELF palette. The price is absurd for her palettes never ever again will I fall for the hype.

Learning to insert and take out contact lenses takes a LOT of practice, so keep at it. Both my daughter and I, when we first got ours, were brought to tears trying the first few times. Once you get the hang of it, though, it becomes easy. When I began to need a prescription, about 25 years ago, I went straight to contacts. Because I could get colored ones, and my eyes had always been a rather nondescript grayish-hazelish color, I got bright green. I get compliments all the time. Lately, I've been thinking about getting blue lenses so that I can get a different look and experiment with different shadow colors. KEEP PRACTICING!

I fully understand how you feel about this mini especially since this palette really makes or breaks if it works with your undertone. Personally, the mini Retro is my favorite mini if not one of my favorite Natasha Denona. How I bring out the green in the greys is that I use a darker green to darken my corners and it really does bring it out! I always pair it with my Colored Raine's Smokeshow's green shadow and on me it's a game changer. Especially with it being closer to $50, I wouldn't want to buy it for that much.

Yes Nisha, we have done well here in Australia - I'm still quite nervous about a second wave and I still don't like going out....we still have a lot of isolations in place but they say maybe in a few weeks things may start to open. Anyway I brought the ND camel palette - yes it was a bit pricy but its a good one - I have many eyeshadows (as we all do LOL) but its one I grab for often. Lots of love xx

Hi Nisha. The mini retro palette is coming to the UK very soon. I have seen people using it in the US and wanted it so much that I looked around but could only find it on London Loves Beauty for £41 too. So I kept looking and heard that it is on its way. Cult beauty have other mini palettes the size of the retro for £22, so I hope they will soon have it for the same price as their others.

Like so many others, I’ve been mostly at home for weeks. I’ve had to go out for a errands two times and was so surprised that everything in my smaller town looks pretty much the same. The traffic is just like it used to be, very few businesses seem to be closed, and parking lots have the same number of cars that I’ve typically seen. What?? There are quite a few eyeshadow palettes I’ve regretted. It took me way too long to figure out which colors and shades I actually wear and enjoy!!

The other comparison that impressed me is the packaging. CT packaging is always stunning, at least. You expect that from a high-end expensive palette, but the ND packaging looks like the very basic packaging of the e.l.f. Bite Sized palette, which sells for three dollars. For the price of ND, I expect some frills, no matter how great the actual shadows are. Glad I didn't buy it.

Wow Nisha ! You really do go to the ends of the earth for your subscribers 🙏😂 and that is a ridiculous price for those eyeshadows! I have blue eyes and you’re totally right my eyes with no eye make up are like p#%s holes in the snow!!!😬 like I have no eyes Cos my lashes aren’t very dark either so yes I agree brown eyes would be much more convenient! I had my eyes lasered 10 years ago and don’t miss contact lenses one bit! Years ago I tried a much brighter blue lense but the black ring round the iris was a thicker black and people told me I looked like the devil so I stopped wearing them 🤷‍♀️😂😂 Can’t wait to see you in the brown ones! 💖

*I agree. There really isn't ANY eyeshadow palette that are worth the prices Natasha Denona, Pat McGrath and Tom Ford are charging. There just isn't. They might be nice eyeshadows but JD Glow Cosmetics has SPECTACULAR eyeshadows for much less. If you want to try some amazing eyeshadows that are actually WORTH a higher price point but are not as expensive as those others, you could try the Metallion shadows or Galaxy shadows from JD Glow Cosmetics. Or the Stained Glass collection from Clionadh Cosmetics. Makeup Geek has wonderful eyeshadows, the mattes are beautiful but the shimmer shades are just gorgeous! There are great eyeshadows out there for less money. I really feel like you're paying more for the 'Name' than the actual quality of the product.*

Nisha that is a lot to pay for a palette that doesn't hardly show any color...My husband is having a terrible time getting used to his new contact lens..I don't think I could put them in either...Can't wait to see you in brown eyes...Your blue eyes are so pretty!! Hugs and Love Loretta

Hi Nisha, so glad you did this review. I was going to buy the Palette 5 which is $48, I've been wanting a Denona palette for a year now....you have taken that temptation away lol I get mad when these companies charge so much and it's not that much different than less expensive palettes. I'm looking at Charlotte T. now lol the quad palettes are $53 here....they should be cheaper for you!!! she is based out of the UK. crazy. And even crazier that the $25 denona one, you had to pay that much for....Overpriced everything is. Take care xxx

The mini palettes are £25 on Cult Beauty but unfortunately as yet they don’t have the mini retro palette. The standard size ones are £41.

I bought one of the mini pallets and took it back. Over priced in my opinion! You’ll get the hang of putting in your contacts...it took me about 45 minutes the first time but it takes just a few seconds once you do it a few times. Love ya!!🥰🥰

I agree the price is just not nice. I love Charlotte tilbury and I feel you get more of a special product for what you pay. I think copper glaze by Charlotte will look great on your blue eyes it’s her new shadows for different eyes colors!

I don’t blame you at all for being disappointed. £16 is a huge difference in price for something that doesn’t have the color payoff you’re looking for when another high end brand is better.

I don’t have any Natasha Denona eyeshadows as I decided I would not pay the money for them. I have a lot of high end, CT, Urban Decay, Too Faced, etc, but I have about 4 Wet n Wild quad palettes and they are amazing quality. I got them from Beauty bay for £3.95 each. I also love the 9 pan palettes from BH Cosmetics, my favourites being Hangin in Hawaii, and Liove in London which are £12.50 each. Then I also love the ELF bite sized palettes which are £3 each and the quality is as good as any high end palette. So I have decided I will try (now I did say try) to not waste money on expensive palettes just because of the name/brand. Chances are I will have all the same colours in other palettes anyway. Great idea, let’s see if I can stick to it 🙄 xx

I love my Natasha Denona mini Retro palette and soft eye look it gives. I dont always want or suit a bright colorful eye look. Its only $48NZD here in New Zealand but then I havent been able to try any CT products as they are loaded with ingredients I'm allergic to, so maybe I dont know what I'm missing. Sorry the ND didnt work out for you.

Thank you so very much Nisha for review on this eyeshadow palette. Really useful to know. I like Charlotte Tilbury. Do you know that I used to wear contact lens, when one moved further up my lid and at time answered the door to my sons friend. I was about to go to opticians when he told me to blow my nose and it automatically released it!!! I know maybe other people will have tips too. They are useful to wear and do not be deterred. I hope that helps. Thank you so very much.

I recently bought the Natasha Denona large palettes (Lila and Biba) for $210 each in Australia. They are easily the BEST quality eyeshadows I have - and I have around 80 high end palettes as well as some mid-range ones. I believe those small ND palettes are not the same formula as the full palette. Disappointing, for any brand. 😕

I usually only buy the minis and have the camel palette which is just the best and I am always really happy with them. I have been wearing this palette since I bought it at Sephora in Australia ($42). I am really sorry to hear that you are so disappointed with them. Perhaps the price is 80% of the problem? Here in Australia, we have to pay a huge amount for Charlotte Tilbury and hence they become very prohibitive.

I don't have money for Natasha Denona either, even if i had the money my question is who would use them up before they expired and you had to get rid of them. I Prefer C.T. because I love the color combos the best and her formula is on point.

Hi Nisha! The colours in this palette are very pretty but are more for those who like light makeup. There's a youtube girl from Quebec who liked it but her makeup is always very discreet. I have never bought Natasha Denona because the price is too high for me. I'm always looking for a pigmented palette that applies well and is reasonably priced. I still like Emilie's palette sometimes I wonder if I should buy it back because I like to have so many beautiful colours at a price that suits me. I'm going to watch your 7 videos again to do my make-up. Super nice day even if it's very windy and still cold here in Quebec City! I also have to go get my medication and do some grocery shopping. The reopening of some factories, some stores that have an outside door but not the shopping malls. The children will quietly go back to school for a few weeks before the holidays. All this will start again carefully and especially gradually starting next week. The hairdressers etc. we don't know yet! At the slightest problem, they will immediately put back the confinement. Take care of yourself! xxx

The Nd palette with 4 colors is $25.00 US dollars, but when you get the 5 colors it jumps to $48.00 US dollars. That's quite a bump for one color more. Sometimes I really wonder just how cosmetics are priced.
