    Thank you so much for this video! I was absolutely shocked to find out native speakers do have such troubles with reading. I’m an ESL teacher and kids in my county aren’t taught phonics instructions at school at all. How can we expect them to read or speak English without this essential step. That’s the question. Both the podcast and this video are vital and awesome❤ thank you!

    I just discovered Sold a Story. It’s really eye opening. No wonder kids get to high school and don’t read well. Let alone comprehension! Poor kids. And they feel dumb. They don’t know it’s a systemic failure. Parents don’t have this information so they can’t advocate for their kids.
