Eyedea - Here For You

Eyedea- Here For You, put to pictures
Disclaimer I DON'T OWN THIS SONG
INTRO
There is a way out of this mess and shit, you just can't think your way out of it. Thought is your enemy.
I know I know, I got to think less. I had that thought actually.
You have to let go. Let go.
Let go of what?
Let go of you. I mean, think about it, what have you done for you lately?
I'm having trouble following your philosophy.
You have to jump in.
Jump in by those scopes?
No, in the water.
In the River?
Yes, Jump in the River, Jump in the River...
We're all born into this river without knowing how to swim
And eventually we learn how to keep this water under our chins
Some times this river is so cold to be in
Freezing my soul, solidifying my skin
Regardless of how far I see, I never see my travels end
Were carried by the current, being driven by the wind
The scenery we pass, we'll never see again
So we store it up as memories and don't let go of them
We're under a spell thinking the river should go straight
We set goals and desires to control our own fate
But all the pain we experience is a result of our expectations
Because it's the rivers nature to twist and turn
The shit can burn
And I know it
I have the same conflict
But I try to sit and flow with this rivers natural process
And sometimes when I watch myself float downstream
I see the beauty of it all, and it feels like a dream
And at that time I appreciate the rivers course
Some call it God, reality, momentum, force
I stare up at the naked moon, and she stares down at me
Outside thoughts boundaries I'm all I look outward to see
The universe is not something separate from yourself
I know you feel alone, but that's why I'm here to help
I know you feel alone, but just look up at the stars
And everything that is out there is what you really are
We gotta learn to see the beauty in each moment of life
Everyone has different paths and we're seeing the light
The world is divided between peasants and kings
But the truth is everybodys looking for the same thing
Now I want you to know
The role you play is part of the whole
Without you it couldn't be, and I mean that with compassion
So if you ever need anything, I mean anything at all
I'm here for you; all you gotta do is ask man
I'm here for you, in the same way that you're here for me
Each person in an intricate piece of infinite
I feel like if you could see what I see
Then we as humanity could be free
I'm here for you, not for any self centered reasons
Because existence is interdependent and all's related,
Connected as different manifestations of one single mind
You ain't isolated from the world even though it feels like that sometimes
I see the hurt when I look into your eyes
How you struggle to hold it and keep it bundled inside
It drives a dull blade deep in my heart; it makes me want to cry
So I offer you a hand to help wash away the rainy skies
I'm running out of words, but I haven't yet made my message clear
So if none of this makes sense, I just want you to know I'm here
As a musician, as a friend, as a teacher, as a student
To grow and realize that everything's in constant movement
Each problem that we face is just a part of this movement
It seems helpless, but if we stick together we'll get through it
And return to the essence from which we've been uprooted
And wake humanity from these illusions
The second you can look into the sky and see your own reflection
You know your headed in the right direction
The river ride ain't always smooth, but with it I live
And everything is perfect, just the way it is
We gotta learn to see the beauty in each moment of life
Everyone has different paths and we're seeing the light
The world is divided between peasants and kings
But the truth is everybodys looking for the same thing
Now I want you to know
The role you play is part of the whole
Without you it couldn't be, and I mean that with compassion
So if you need anything, I mean anything at all
I'm here for you; all you gotta do is ask man
I'm here for you; all you gotta do is ask man
I'm here for you; all you gotta do is ask man

Hey man. I am good. How are you? Life has it's ups and downs and I have lost some faith in humanity and I am disgusted by the fake reality and system we live in. But I am still trying to push forward and save the world with the rest of the empaths and beautiful souls that are awakened or on their way. I feel bad for all the sheeple and those that just don't know. Ignorance is bliss I guess yet in some ways I like knowing what's going on. But it is maddening we may never break out of this system.....RIP Eyedea still bump your legendary words.

I'm doing alright, thanks for asking. Taking it one day at a time, I'm excited about a new project that I am working on. It's a greenhouse that I just bought the parts for, now I need to assemble it. I want to try and grow different lettuces in there over the winter months. I've never really gardened before, but am looking forward to learning and growing from it.

I met eyedea at 5th element. Went there to buy an eyedea tshirt for my son for christmas in 99. The person ringing my purchase said hes here right now if you'd like to meet him. I said of course he was a huge influence on my both of my sons and still is. He yelled to the back " hey eyedea theres a parent that wants to meet you" he peered from the ba k hesitated came out shook my hand. I asked him to sign the shirt for me. He got that huge smile on his face and said usually when a parent comes to meet me they want to kick my ass. Ignorant parenrs need to be more aware of their childrens music. If they'd just listen .anyway. What a nice guy. Had great conversation. So sad that this brilliant poet is no longer on earth. He lives on....helping the young and old 50 year olds thru his words. Thank you ! RIP

I like this song because it is not forced positivity, it is an honest acceptance of our pain and the deep sadness of life. But embracing it and acknowledging the beauty of life is also just as valid and true as that pain and sadness. We can connect with each other and help one another while we are here. Much love to you all.

I had a bad day today. Sometimes it feels like being true to yourself and doing the best you can to promote goodwill in the universe only brings hurt back to you. Eyedea didn't get to see the reach of his goodwill towards everyone, but that didn't matter to him, and he did it because that's who he is and he wanted to touch anyone's heart that his voice could reach. Thank you Michael, you are beautiful and inspiring piece of the cosmic tapestry that binds us all to each other for eternity.

The same time Eyedea died I woke up in ICU from aspirating (vomiting from opiates and breathing it in my lungs) I had very similar problems as he did with anxiety and insomnia as well as legit pain meds prescribed to me which makes me not think what he did was purposeful suicide. I took the same combination of drugs for pain and sleep I always had for 10 years.. but that night I vomited in my sleep and breathed in into my lungs and basically died. Im lucky someone came home found me and called 911. I woke up in the ICU so confused and it wasnt intentional. Benzo's, Opiates, and Sleep Aids all legally prescribed could have killed me too and looked like suicide but it wasnt. I was self medicating and a deep thinker. Sometimes I wish i died and he lived because I believe his contributions to the world are beautiful. When he died I realized he really was speaking about the same problems I was suffering from in metaphors from his song. He inspired me to quit all the meds and ive been in rehab sober for 6 months. Thank you Eyedea... .

The "Coincidences" that come along with his music and the people it touches are far more than something to brush off your shoulder and forget about. I have shed more tears in the name of Michael Larsen than that of my own father who died from a heroin overdose. Sadly I discovered him in 2010 after his physical light had been extinguished and I had undergone opiate addiction myself. Then I found out he died on the night of my 18th birthday adj later after I found this song, I called him out at the ending. When he was saying all you gotta do is ask I was in tears with my eyes closed SHUT, and told him prove it, that second there was a single white flash and then it was gone. This is more than a song.

SnowStorm24 SnowStorm24 Im ok... I ended up in the ICU for a second time at the start of November & I was pretty upset because once I backed off all the meds and had been taking care of myself I fell out again. :-( Nothing like waking up in the ICU with a breathing tube shoved down your throat with no memory of how or why I ended up there. Apparently it wasn't even the first hospital that I ended up in before I finally came too. When I woke up they already had an IV line in me and were giving me IV dilaudid because they had no buprenorphine in the whole hospital. So basically they made me dry out on the Subutex.. switch to Dilaudid and then when I left I had to do the switch back to buprenorphine which was hell on my sanity. It's been a few weeks and I'm just starting to get the ability to continue on with my life. Besides that I'm doing better and I'm still fighting the daily battle to get myself out of this mess. I'm alive and I still have a chance to change things which is alot more then I can say for my fallen friends over the last few years.

I came here famished, loathsome and tired. I leave with an acute sense of wonder. Refreshed from fresh life spoken through Soundwave. Moved from desolation to gratification. eyedeas dont die.. they pass on from person to person. he is not gone... your thoughts and desires control your own fate and this was his fate.. to help change the lives of others. this song.. smile and the dive have completely transformed my life into something else.. i didnt know what was happening me, i thought i was losing my mind and ig i was in a way.. but you cant loose your mind if you dont believe in its existence.. so you should let go instead. this song relates to a dream i have had for a very long time.. i've made many mistakes and some of those things cant be fixed.. but i realized i can help prevent these things from happening to others and i can be here for them when things do happen because its the rivers nature to twist and turn and shit. I also write my own music and ive been trying to create something with these messages in it for a while now.. i cant always get the point across while talking.. but in a song.. i seem to be able to express things clearly.. so im gonna see what happens. who gave me this eyedea? eyedea lol. i think he must have spelt it eyedea instead of idea because he wanted us to see these eyedeas ourselves and we could do something with them. That's something im going to do.. write the contents my own book.

He's so underrated & was so cute. I hate that he never got the love he properly deserved during his lifetime.

Such an underrated song. #RIPeyedea I didn't get into his music until a few years ago, really wish he was still around making quality music like this. 7 years, gone but not forgotten.

I love how, whenever I come back to this song and here the part “The river ride ain’t always smooth but with it I’ll live, & everything is perfect just the way it is” it’s always a different situation
