Extremely Rusty WW1 Belt Buckle Restoration. Lost 105 Years Ago
Ойын-сауық
Extremely Rusty WW1 Belt Buckle Restoration. I found this rusty buckle at a WWI military camp site. This is a buckle of a soldier of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. A soldier lost this buckle 105 years ago. I decided to restore the buckle. I removed the rust and preserved the iron. I hope you liked my restoration.

Beatiful restoration 👍👏 Greetings from Belgium 😉🇧🇪👋
Nice restoration, fantastic as always!
Nice job! It's good that these nice historic things won't rott in the ground anymore. Too bad it's illegal in my country to dig up things like these. Btw it is a Hungarian version from the united army. Greetings from the neighbour!

Qual o seu país?
I have also two. One from my grandfafher from WW1 and a second from my father in WW2. But they are in good shape.
Outstanding. Thanks from Sc
Потрясающее мастерство. Я смотрю ваши видео как захватывающий сериал❤
What a beautiful restoration and a wonderful way to preserve historical artifacts for future generations. Do you donate some of these items to museums? They are certainly qualified for inclusion in their collections!
Beautiful! 👍
От такі відео мені ще більш цікаво, бо коли це гладкий метал, то чистити йоно простіше, а коли це щось рельєфне - звичайним наждаком вже не обійтись 😉
Hello mister good job well done
Wow. Simply amazing work you do! I'm curious what you do with them after you restore them. Do you keep them? Sell them? Donate them to a museum?
You should open your own museum 😊
Beautiful restoration. 😍😍
Як завжди 👍, перегляд! А ще рявкнув, на диванного "спеціаліста"! 😊
Great job!

Nice job ! At least you salvaged it, as this buckle (Hungarian, the Austrian troops had an eagle on their buckles) was indeed beyond any restoration
Very good job

that buckle is sporting the kingdom of hungary insignia: you can clearly see the hungarian crown on top, the coat of arms of hungary in the eschuteon in the center, the three lions of dalmatia on top left, the checkers of croatia on top right, a hole bottom left where there should be slavonia (unrecognizable), another hole bottom (but the eagle of fiume is still visible), and the coat of arms of transylvania bottom right

What did the soldiers use to hold up their trousers when they lost their belt buckle? 🤔
💙💛
Too close!
How do you know it's 100 years old?

It's very simple) These buckles were made before 1918.
