Yes, thats typically for a hydraulic elevator to stop hard while moving up. We have a hydraulic elevator with a stop switch here and if you hold the "1"-button and switch the stop switch up and down fastly, the cabin jumps and you hear loud bangs. That machine is really crazy.

The motor sounds amazing going up and this elevator is really fast! That's Rare for a Hydraulic. It's great that they added glass to the inner doors.

The reason it has a hard stop when going up is because when the elevator (or lift) goes down it is releasing the pressure (since this is a hydraulic system) and when it goes up the pump is running and when it stops its abrupt because of the sudden shutdown of the pump. as when its going down its slow because its releasing pressure and it very slightly keeps leaking through. (this is my theory and I might be wrong)

I have been really scared of them since i watched that guy who got stuck in an elevator for 41 hours. But now i have started to ride elevators again. I'm still really scared to press the call button and entering the car but after a while of riding the elevator, it's really fun.

Yes it does. From his angle he walks away when it arrives so you cannot see it. The inner doors close regardless. The machine isn’t that smart..

You're right, inner doors should open when the safety circuit is broken (Ie when the stop button is pressed for example)
