Hi there, Liron here!
In today’s vid I want to test how far you can take wet-in-wet and charging techniques. We will finish 90% of the painting in one go.
The rest 10% will be done after everything dries.
A few takeaways:
- Wet-In-Wet & Charging is all about water:paint ratio.
- Start thick, then go THICKER
- Practice so much that it becomes INTUITIVE
- Sometimes a clear story / focal point is more important than details. That can be even more true if you find yourself adding details simply “for the sake of details”
A few UPDATES:
- Watercolor Realism Course is in its advanced stages (:

- Making nice progress with manga - more to share in the future
I hope you enjoy this one! 😊🙏🏼

I’ve been binge watching your videos the past couple of weeks, I really like your style and you’ve inspired me to to try a 100 car challenge. it would be great if you made a photobook out of yours when you finish, I’m sure there are plenty of us who would buy a copy.

Thank you so much for explaining this! I had been able to do wet-on-wet with and without cauliflowers by accident and not 100% sure on how or why it would happen and when. I don't know how or why I didn't figure this out sooner either but thank you so much for this explanation!

If you add water or waterier paint, it will leave cauliflowers. I’m still learning to control it too, so hard. I want to actually create more of them, not less.

Hi Liron, excellent focal point. However there are some watercolour artist who do wet on wet section by section...like back then side...then topetc...that gives lot of time to react think and paint. Example. Louise de masi on you tube. What's your opinion?

Oh and is the paper you use the reason why the darkness goes down so much as the paint dries? I use Arches 100% cotton and the paint barely changes as it dries for me, so I am curious how and why there is such a drastic change compared to what I am used to and if it's the paper that causes this.
