I have Another rental friendly wallcovering idea. I managed a linen store MANY years ago and found lots of ways to use flat bed sheets (or fabric yard goods). You'll need to buy liquid starch. The liquid starch acts as the adhesive on the sheet or yard goods. Its much easier with two people-one to hold the fabric and one to smooth the starch over the fabric. Use enough to saturate the fabric without being messy. I use push pins to hold the fabric to the wall until the starch dries. When you want to change it or remove it just pull it off the wall, wipe the wall down to remove the starch and thats it!

I've done this a couple times with cotton fabric and polyester tapestries. It actually works really well! If you are trying to do it by yourself like me, get a wide bin, saturate the fabric and work it onto the wall from the bottom up, smoothing from the center to the edges. To remove, spray with water and peel away. Easy once you get the hang of it.

Sleek and grown up. You and Brian elevated this space from bland to beautiful. I hope you spend many comfortable evenings here watching your favorite shows!

Yes to all. I saw a girl that used cardboard on the walls and added the wallpaper on it and used black double adheasive tape to adhere it on the walls. When it was time to move out, she just took off the cardboard and done. I never tried it so, I dont know which is easier. Anyway, the space looks amazing and I love the new coulourfull YOU. The 1st rug I loved it but this one is nice as well. I hope those white walls will go soon. Well done once again!👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏❤❤❤❤

I can't get over what a difference that lyme wash wallpaper makes. It reminds me of the sponge (or scrunched plastic bag) painting we were doing in the 90s, but it's so much more subtle and sophisticated. The 90s trend went, but I hope the lyme wash of today stays around and becomes timeless like a hardwood floor.

Carpet tape worked really well for Alexandra Gater on her channel. If it falls down, I would just redo it with carpet tape. I think it's so nice though! Great job!! ❤

As a DIY long term renter, I want to thank you for this kind of video. Most videos I look up for my projects work for home owners but not for renters. My landlord appreciates that I care enough about my rented space to improve or fix what I can but still respect that it’s not permanent.

Hey Tina! It is not recommended for Painters Tape to remain on surfaces for longer than 21 days (60 days for delicate surface tape). It will leave behind residue and/or remove paint when you remove the tape. Maybe not so renter-friendly.

I love the coffee tables! They fit so well in the space. The addition of the wallpaper makes it interesting and cozy!

I can’t tell you how many times I am up to board a plane and they decide the overhead bins are too full, so they have to add my carry on underneath the plane. I’d never add my laptop to a carry on bag. Always in my personal item. Otherwise you’ll have to scramble to relocate everything last minute or trust that they don’t lose, steal, or break your laptop. These suitcases are beautiful but that is a waste of carry on space because nothing else will fit in the laptop area. I guess shoving all the socks and underwear in there may work? Edit: forgot to add my thoughts about the space! This is warm and cozy, you did so great!! Love it. ❤

Love the wall paper idea. Just a suggestion for the future, there are tv mounts that do not require studs to hold the weight of your TV. I do not remember the brand but I used one in the bedroom that holds a 45" TV with nails. You don't have to search for studs, make big holes, and they're very sturdy.

Hi, I lived in a rental property in the uk. I made up a paste using cornflour. It worked perfectly and when I moved the paper came off in full sheets with absolutely no damage. It was so easy.

Well that came out beautifully! I must admit I wouldn’t have bothered with the paper, it looked like hard work; you can colour wash the walls with different earthy tones to produce a plaster finish. Loved the end result.

Love, love, love this makeover! I have loved your work all along, but recently your maturity is showing so much and the results are phenomenal. Please tell me where the sofa arm table come from? Did you make that and I missed a video? I am hoping you respond. My husband needs one of these desperately. Thank you for great content!

Oh gosh Tina, you are so awesome this livingroom makeover is so beautiful I am loving that wallpaper and the vibe it has is so cool. I am going to be painting my livingroom soon, it will make it so much brighter because it has that 70s wood with those lines that are wide and narrow and putting paint on that will give it a better vibe. And hopefully I will also get my hard wood floors installed before winter.
