I've been playing and learning guitar my whole damn life and it's always a struggle. I hear a lick, I'm like 'Damn, that's a cool lick! Sounds tough to do though. But I love it so I gotta learn it!' So I put in the time and I learn it and now I can play the cool lick and then my brain goes 'Well.. if you can play it.. it must not've been that cool/tough of a lick.' I don't know if it's the same for every guitar player out there but if you get something similar, I'm here to tell you, from one guitar player to another, that's a great song with a ton off awesome licks and you nailed them. You're good, man.

Dude, this whole album rocks! Extreme's supposed to come out with a new album (as is King's X and Greg Howe) and it's supposed to sound like the olde Pornograffiti sound. I suppose everyone's waiting for covid to subside so that they can tour and make some fresh album sales. If you look at my channel, I have one small snippet of Peacemaker Die I did 3 years ago .. I'd love to get your feedback on my attempt at it. I think it's just like 2 minutes or so of it. But man, III Sides was such a mature album for these guys! Waiting for the Punchline was like a raw Van Halen 'Mean Streets' vibe .. I wish Extreme hadn't fallen off the face of the planet all those years ago. Good music is 'rarer than hen's teeth' anymore ..

That’s a great question. I’d say it’s 80% the N4. I’ve used the same patch with various other guitars and the N4 is the only one where you can get the brightness in the tone. There’s something very unique about it. Thanks very much for your comment!

@@patricetrahan7287 Normally yes...it's the Bill Lawrence, but Chris stayed on the neck pickup for most of this play through, the '59. Then the middle position. Nuno doesn't use the neck pickup for most of this song. So, Bill Lawrence is used minimally in this video. So it's gotta be more than just the BL pickup, in getting that percussive tone. It's a perfect storm of natural/no finish top, the body wood type, neck wood, frets chosen...and more importantly, Nuno's right hand. Either way, really nice job Chris!
