+Barnekkid I don't know is it true, i heard it as a joke, that americans spent $2 millions for invent a pen for writting in weightlessness, but didn't achieve results. Soviet scientists just bought pencils for astronauts. Americans spend big money for to build and maintain roads in Alaska. Russians just constructed vehicle that can go anywhere and use it when it's need. So, russians don't try change envieroment for their requestions, russians adjust their requestions for envieroment.

ou probably will never need a replacement parts for these things .They are made in Russia not by GM or Chevy which need parts before you even buy those .

In a way, these are conditions similar to those the Germans had to face during their drive into the Soviet Union, when aiming at Moscow: huge muddy quagmires that would render the advance extremely costly; then the mud will literally become concrete-like as the winter came. I dont think anyone in the world makes such serious off-road heavy machinery such as Russia´s.

Восхищаюсь мастерством водителя этого Витязя.Сразу видно что опыта в техпомощи ему не занимать.Ас.Умело провел тяжеленный тягач,да еще оснащенный краном и прицепом-экскаватором по болоту,в котором застряла даже легкая проходимая Четра.Аккуратно развернулся сам,вытащил ее,не дать завязнуть обоим,сопровождал до нормальной дороги...Молодец,супер!Ролик-зачет!И музыка классная.

В 80-х они поставлялись в армию, но интереса к ним тогда никто не проявлял почему-то. А в 2002 Минобороны сделало заказ на разработку модернизированных Витязей. А что дальше было, хз.

Сделать не так дорого, как обслуживать. Сделать дорого, а вскоре вместо дороги увидите гору асфальтовых кусочков, обслуживать дорого. Намного дешевле иметь свободу перемещения на таких машинах. А то сделаете дорогу, а машин-то немного, и им надо не туда, куда ваша дорога идет. Не весь же север бетоном заливать.

В вечной мерзлоте делать нормальную дорогу дорого, а содержать ещё дороже. Выгоднее тратить 100 литров топлива на 100 км, на вот таких вездеходах.
