While I certainly enjoyed the incredible hulk, on subsequent views i found 2003s hulk to be one that grew on me the more I watched it.

Movies are starting to get in a weird spot, Its getting harder for studios to throw 100-200million at something. I can appreciate you going back for these gems that might have slipped through the cracks.

I have this on Blu-ray it’s awesome. And in my opinion. This is the best Hulk. His physique and his rage are the best 👍

Am glad somebody else feels this way. It is always my demo disc for my guess in my theater.

Norton hulk , is a great movie, still injoy watching it to this day , glad i have the blu ray in my collection

Fortunately, Edward Norton rewrote half the scenes in this movie. Much to the chagrin of Marvel. I still get into this movie.

For me, the Eric Bana was the one and only. It just captures the desolation of the fallout zone, characters are endearing, I really feel the fury of the hulk and the scene where he shakes the army men out of the tank was so good! 😅 I can imagine the cg did not age well though...

Haven't seen this in years. Bought it because its cheap. Great movie and the soundtrack rocks on my 7.2.4 system. And the picture is great

"The Incredible Hulk" was directed by Louis Leterrier. He's the same guy behind "The Transporter", "Fast X" and "Now You See Me". He has great attention to detail in his films...even if they may be questionable on some fronts.

I believe the issue is that the movie’s distribution rights have reverted from Universal back to Marvel Studios (aka Disney). Universal are a HDR10+ and DTS:X house. It was previously missing from Disney+ on streaming and then suddenly appeared a while back. I have the UK version of the disc and can confirm the video and the DTS:X audio are superb.

Awesome Video! Super glad you got to get it in your collection! I totally agree with your outlook. The depth and overall power of the sound is Phenomenal.

I have serious ‘super hero movie fatigue.’ I was surprised how much I enjoyed this one. But it’s because it’s actually a good movie

After the Captain America/Winter Soldier film, this is my favorite Marvel film......and demo worthy.

The scene “Locked In” is one of my go to scenes for demo’ing my system.

I've been meaning to come back and leave a comment - I purchased this on your recommendation about a month ago and it definitely has a stellar audio track! I only have a 5.0 system and I was still very pleased with how much work the surrounds got and how immersive the audio was. I had to wait for a good deal on eBay and snagged it for about $20, but it can regularly sell for anywhere between that and about $50 now, so it's a good time to get a copy before it truly gets rare.

While dolby atmos is more focused on 3dimensionality of the sound.DTS x accent on dynamic range it runs up to 10mbps,and is more detailed and bassy.Fast and furious series have great DTS x.But one i would really highly reccomend for demo is Van helsing(2004) 4k blu ray DTSx on it is tremendous

In all honesty, The incredible Hulk sounded great on normal Blu-ray

Atmos used to be for 4k. But is on some bluray now. I have two with Atmos.

I just got Dredd. The Atmos is outstanding.

I re-watched this when it re-played in IMAX about 6 years ago... the bass made me nauseous! 😂

Loved the Incredible Hulk

I was about to comment that it indeed exists as Dolby Atmos, since all the movies in the Infinity Saga are atmos - but no. The Incredible Hulk, as the standout, is DTS:X Master Audio. I'll need to revisit that one asap!

I don't understand the hate for this movie. It's not great, but it's fun. It's absolutely better than most Disney Marvel movies.

Bass Fest for days. Mentioned non-stop on AVS bass threads.

If I remember correctly the Blu-ray of this movie blew up my old small sub due to the extremely low bass that was more than my sub could handle

Brought the blu ray when it was first released. To this day, it's still one of the best sounding movies in my collection. Wonder if the 4k version is worth the upgrade

ARRIFLEX 235 Camera ARRIFLEX 435 Camera Panavision Cameras Edit: From what I know about Atmos, they mix it in headphones. DTS X is more flexible with different types of systems.

Ordered the french UHD with an English Atmos track.The German Version has only the same DTS HD track as Blu ray

I own this. But it's been awhile since I've seen it. I need to re-watch it. Since I have a, better sound system then what I had before. When I first saw it.

WATCH JUPITER ASCENDING. Its one of the best Atmos sound mixes I have ever heard. Both the 2k blu ray and 4k uhd have the Atmos mix.

I somehow managed to get a copy of the Steelbook when it first came out. I thought it was just okay but I haven’t watched it since I got my newer sound system. At your suggestion I’m going to give it another go. I always thought it was a good film and felt it was a shame that Edward Norton had been such a high maintenance actor that he was replaced by Mark Ruffalo (who proved to be a better fit)!

I have a Denon 3800X with an Emotiva amp handling the floor level channels while the AVR only handles the heights, back surrounds and two subs. Bloody awesome. I had only adjusted my speakers initially by using an SPL meter like I used to do in the old days when I had a THX Ultra 2 AVR but just lately felt the urge to recalibrate the system utilising the Audyssey XT32 and have been really impressed by it. I got the 3800 back in November 2022 but until now hadn’t engaged the Audessey EQ. I’m really curious about Dirac now! I feel like I need to rewatch a lot of my discs that I thought were awesome already to hear how much better they are now! Yesterday I also rewatched FORD V FERRARI and while I always thought it was awesome already it was even better!

I own the French import, 'L'Incroyable Hulk' on 4K UHD and it has Dolby Atmos, not DTS:X, for the English language. My notes on viewing it were that that the sound-design seemed underwhelming. I will put into the rotation to view it again soon and pay more attention to what I hear based upon your review. "Sounds like" the DTS:X version may be the way to go!

So I've just gone on Apple TV and there's a Dolby Vision version in Atmos, I wonder if it's DTS-X but they just label it as Atmos 🤔
