Set up this same contest but have two carriers fairly close in line. Do a touch and go on the first carrier then immediately land on the following carrier.

A computer, the DCS program + this specific add-on PLUS a joystick + a lot of learning it I have all that not even close to landing on a carrier

i feel like they are all really great, they just arnt catching the first wire because the carrier isnt moving

Well you're not supposed to catch the first wire you're supposed to catch the 3rd Though since most of them are lined up right for their landing before having to correct I'd say that does play in a bit

As a Geardog on CVN65 I'd be hating you all anything 20degrees off center requires a 3 hour shive and wire check because the wire off center screws with the alignment and wear the shives .

The rule power = altitude and pitch = airspeed really shows in high wind.

If it were determined by who could perform the best landings the carrier would be moving and they'd actually care about if you're landing properly and what wire you catch

Finally not destroying carriers.

Two definitions at this point, Which are, all landings are controlled crashes and the definition of a good pilot is having the same number of takeoffs as landings. Awesome vid guys, looks like a fun game. I was wondering about the Harrier, vert landing but very heavy on fuel so might be very low by the time it gets to the carrier, thoughts?

Harrier has to be low on fuel to do VTOL but still has enough fuel to do a few go arounds if necessary

Round two was some of the worst flying I saw yet. You come in the opposite way and aim for the island with enough power and you’ll become perfect with the deck.

Great job on those last landings. This was fun to watch. Hopefully I’ll get through my DCS trainings soon so I can be a Reaper one day

Hey just got back home today.

I wish the f 16 planes would get their hook. I know they are only for emergencys but iv'e done some test landings and there was not a problem at all

Any chance we could get one of these with F4 Phantoms? That would be cool to watch.

Those aircraft don't have reverse thrust The only aircraft in DCS that does is the Viggen, and technically the harrier
