Apparently he has a new show where he catches fish only found in deep ocean water. I just saw the title when I was surfing on Discovery+ and I have no idea if it is a new show or a special for River Monsters but there is a chance he is starring in a new show.

@@nazhirleonard1407 its called Dark Waters and its not deep see fishing it is where he goes to various countries and and tries to catch "legendary fish." I saw a clip where he travelled to a country to try and catch a giant pike. I think it is on Discovery+.

The cast away guy Jeremy was referring to that they happened upon, I've worked with that guy's brother before. He had apparently taken his boat out for the day as he would usually but wanted to find a new spot to fish at. He didn't take any gps or maps with him as he thought he had reasonable knowledge of the area, however became lost after losing his boat. He spent 3 or 4 days on this tiny island that literally had nothing on it, no trees, no animals just sand and rock. He eventually spotted some turtles and started to swim out to them to catch them, then Jeremy and his filming crew started cruising around the corner of this deserted island and saw this guy. Very fortunate.

Jeremy has inspired an entire 2 generations of fishermen at this point. He will be written about in history books

I fished with Jeremy Wade. Then went to Wendy’s in a minivan late at night to get some food. Really nice guy and down to earth. Good hearted authentic person was my impression. 10 out of 10 would fish with him again

Lol, yep! My grip always tightens to a death grip. When trying to bring in a fish, it's not about loss of the rod, it's nope, not losing the fish!

Jeremy has led such an amazingly crazy life. Multiple aviation crashes, being arrested for being a spy... so many more. He may actually be the most interesting man in the world.

Jeremy Wade is also a very good writer. I really recommend his book "River Monsters" - there he vividly describes his adventures before the TV series and details out of his private life. A must for everybody loving Jeremy.

The main thing I see wrong with fishing in TV and movies is that everything is usually too clean and organized. They'll have some kid who fishes every day at a local pond or whatever, and all his tackle looks like it was bought that morning. You never see anyone pull a tangled gob of lures out of a tackle box. You never see stuff that looks beat up and decades old.

I occasionally clean my lures and tackle box. But most of the time the way you described is how it looks. I think on film they just have props that they use because you know tackle boxes can be pretty noisy. And they don't want actors to get hurt, for fear of liability.

With such a long off-season, I get plenty of time to clean my tackle boxes! My ice fishing boxes are cleaned in the summer, and my summer boxes cleaned in the winter!

@@merchant69420 it’s a lot about respecting the nature for a lot of people. Also sometimes it’s against the rules to keep certain fish or you want that fish to live because it’s important for the ecosystem.

As a kid , Jeremy would always help me get through some days of being bored! He’s an incredible fishermen

Fly fishing is an art. A art that's learned over time. I love fly fishing. My dad taught me how to do it. I think the greatest thing is being able to put that fly in places that you can never get a regular fishing pole into. And to watch the line lay down on the top of the water is something else. I could keep going but if you fly fish you already know what I'm talking about.

I'm surprised that they didn't include the scene in jaws when Quinn battles the shark. One of the best scenes in any movie and my favorite fishing scene.

Watching Jeremy has been my best and worst accident of my life, I have an absolutely horrible addiction to fishing.

I'm not a fisherman, but this is a fantastic installment to the series. It also makes me want to read Hemingways’ The Old Man and the Sea.

Haven’t even watched it yet but I demand more. River monsters was and remains one of my favorite shows

Jeremy Wade is such an underrated person. There isnt many videos like this about Jeremy Wade. When there is it doesn’t get many views. He’s filming a new tv show called unknown waters and I couldn’t find much about it.

I grew up an hour south of where A River Runs Through It is set. It will always have a special place in my heart, and is a big part of what got me into fly-fishing. If you have never spent an entire day hiking up and down a river, you haven't lived.

I love Jeremy Wade!!!! He always tried to be respectful of other cultures when he was filing all over the world. So maybe don't bother.

Fun fact: the reason river monsters ended was because they literally didn't have anymore fish worth noting for him to catch because he had literally caught all of them. He literally did a 100% completion of freshwater fishing, legendary

Jeremy is like the uncle I never go fishing with. I have watched countless adventures of Jeremy.

Jeremy Wade brings with him a certain level of class that's just accentuates the whole experience.

Been wading for smallies recently. Whether I let go of my rod or not when I'm about to die depends entirely on how good the fish feels. It also really helped with my depression. Turns out going outside is good for you.

Fishing genuinely is the most underrated outdoor sport. The amount of patience my grandfather raised onto me through fishing helped me stay calm during some really edgy moments of my life.
