AFO is such a cool villain. I love that even though his whole plan is to get a new body since his is so weakened, he's still not at all to be messed with and one of the strongest in the verse (tho if they used Erasure on him he'd die right away lmao). Also the way he gets into the top heroes' heads is so cold, maybe more impressive than his powers

I like how right off the bat, two freshmen hero students are able to put up more of a fight against All for One than the number one and two heroes. Just kinda furthering the idea that Endeavor should probably be there with Touya. Especially since Touya definitely wasn’t down for very long.

I believe you're completely wrong (no offense meant) 1) Endeavour wouldn't be able to stop Touya at all. Not in terms of power, but because of his mental state. He is not on his right mind. If All For One managed to get in his head just by talking about Touya, just imagine what Touya himself could have done to him. Hawks himself stated Endeavour could not have won against his son. Not to mention the fact that last time he had to face him he stood there completely motionless. 2)Endeavour is the only one able to defeat All For One. No matter how skilled Hawks is or how useful the support-characters are, All For One's endurance is on another level. Only Endeavour has the raw power needed to fatally injure him. Which is why Hawks stated that "at least he has to save Endeavour, who still has Prominence Burn" (Endeavour's most powerful move, which they plan to use against AFO, since he has not got regeneration) .

I do kinda disagree though. 1) Touya’s not in his right mind, but he was thinking clearly enough to know that Endeavor wasn’t there to confront him and be disappointed by it. So in that sense, if Endeavor was there sooner, things would have probably turned out differently. 2) Endeavor’s not the only one that could beat All for One. Yeah, he stands a pretty good chance and Prominence Burn is one heck of a move, but that’s only one of the many ways All for One could be taken down. Again, seeing as Jiro and Tokoyami were able to pull of a really effective team attack, plus later down the line we see a lot of other students able to pull off some great attacks too that All for One doesn’t expect. While Endeavor is the number one hero, he’s definitely not the only one that can stand a chance. Maybe individually, but the heroes have enough people all things considered. I’m not saying him fighting All for One was like, a bad choice plan-wise, but it’s definitely not the only plan they could’ve gone with. And yeah, to be fair, the reason why All for One was able to get in Endeavor’s head with Touya is because he talked about how Endeavor wasn’t there to confront him at the moment.

@@natsuotodoroki 1) well, I guess both our points are valid. I don't think there truly is a way to know it for sure, I just prefer to trust Hawks' judgment. 2) I'd like to know who you have in mind! Who do you believe could have the power to destroy All For One? We have to remember that our beloved trash-talking demon lord could endure All Might's smashes very easily and, in terms of physical power, he is equal to Kamino All Might. Not many people can even hurt him at all! I mean, they could try to destroy his mask, but that wouldn't do it. He has used in the past a glue-like quirk to repay objects and even when All Might crushed it in their second fight he wasn't that much affected by it. He kept going for a large amount of time without it. I don't believe throwing an army against him would be effective either. First of all it would be too dangerous: he could get hundreds of quirks easily. Secondly, his speciality are long-rage attacks that destroy literally anything in his path. It is actually easier for him to get rid of many normal heroes rather than a few extremely powerful ones. The only one I could see killing him, other than Endeavour, is Deku (but he's the only one who can deal with Shigaraki)

I've said this many times, but I love the classic case of heroes and villains not being so different. Everyone, every individual person, is doing their part and fighting for what they believe in. Freedom for heteromorphs, a father’s horrible sins, and whatever All for One is up to. Everyone is willing to put their own bodies on the line for a cause greater than themselves.
