Extract of a quarter peal of Plain Bob Doubles on the bells of St Nicholas at Wade, Kent 19cwt in E

A successful quarter peal of Plain Bob Doubles on the heavy going ring of 6 in St Nicholas at Wade, this was my first inside quarter attempt aswell which was on a 16cwt bell!
St Nicholas holds a vintage boomy ring of 6 which are incredible easy to ring and handle very nicely. The bells go actually really well despite no recent restoration work being done! The treble and 4 were recast in 1922 by Alfred Bowell of Ipswich with the rest of the bells being cast by Joseph Hatch of Ulcombe in 1615 and 1625, he made some incredible bells at this time! The bells are very beginner friendly too I highly recommend these to anyone in the area.
We also couldn’t seem to work out the ‘true’ weight of these bells with online software claiming they are 19, with peal boards saying 20cwt and an official report frame saying 21cwt!

I really like these bells, big and meaty six just like they should be. Visited on an outing in 2019 - would like to return for a quarter at some point.

Heavy sixes just work! I don't know why, but to me they just do. Well done on your quarter!
