    Great tutorial, didn't know about Indirect Lighting Controller and what it can do, so thanks. Also, the Micro Shadows override is absolutely stunning. Now a little bit of a problem.. In the non-HDRP workflow you can designate the scene "sun light" by going to Lighting Settings window and select which directional light you want Unity to consider as the sun light in the scene (ex. the Procedural Sky shader will use this designated light to render the sky box with the sun disk etc). In the SRP / HDRP workflow the setting is not there, as you are supposed to setup the procedural sky in a Volume component typically named by Unity "Rendering Settings". So you basically this adds in your scene a Volume containing by default a Shadows, Visual Env, Procedural Sky and fog overrides. For the sake of example, as opposed to what you've one in your video, let's assume we use the procedural sky override, therefore in the procedural sky override you set all the settings related to it. Except you cannot chose specifically a directional light the procedural sky should be using. I'm assuming some automatic detection is made behind the scenes, Unity "magically" detects the only dir light in your scene and uses it as sun light when rendering the procedural sky. The trouble is that sometimes it fails to detect it and you're left with a sky without sun. Therefore my question is: Is there's an option to specifically tell Unity "hey, I want to use *this* dir light as sun"? Thanks.

    First of all in HDRP you can only use one direction light which is by default assumed as sun. So even if you create another direction light HDRP will give you an error. And as you know in real world there is only one light which mimics as directional light which is of course our sun light. So the answer is not you can't tell unity to use a directional light as sun. It will automatically accepts the active direction light for sun light.

    At 2:45 when I go to rendering I only have the options to create "Density Volume", or "Decal Projector". I'm thinking maybe they changed the name of it to "Sky and Fog Volume"? Btw where is the link to those Cube Maps that your using?

    What's benefit of real time gi over baked ? At 6:50 ,if you change the hdri sky , do you have to bake lightning again for proper Ambient ? Very informative as usual ;)

    I am new to Unity (I use Unreal) and found your tutorials which seem to be really good so far. I do not know alot so maybe I am wrong in saying this but one thing I am finding annoying about Unity is the apparently constant state of change with these editors and then the preview packages. I am trying to follow along in this tutorial, everything is going great until 4:02 where you mention that if using 2019.2 you need to use the contribute GI under static. Every time I try this Unity Editor crashes. I then move on and cannot create any lightmaps when following your steps.

    Crash while light baking in unity is common. Try using a different version of Unity.

    It may be a problem with unity. Try using another unity version maybe 2018.3 which is more stable. Contribute GI is the new name for lightmap static.

    I would suggest buy an RTX card. These are more expensive then gtx cards but trust me RTX is the future of render engine like Unreal and Unity.

    HDRP is not designed for mobile devices that's why is not working. You can use LWRP for mobile platform.

    There is a huge problem with projects made with HDRP its well documented and well known as the infamous never ending 'Compiling shader variants' message during builds that makes build times last forever.. I have searched across the internet for a solution but none have worked for me so far.. its what keeps me from using HDRP at the moment.. If you could do a video on how to get the build times down that would be so awesome!

    This was kind of a dumb question because it really does not matter what HDRI source you use. I used HDRI Haven which has 16K HDRI's for free if desired.

    Generally I use only one exposure volume which I set as "Global". For the post processing you can use multiple volume according to the scene mood.

    Download hdr sky from HDRI Heaven website. Static light baking script is available in Unity. You can add it from the component tab.

    I try all this 3 rendering 1. the originals unity render the don't have shader graph is the only reason i don't use that system 2. the urp the have less option but i have shader graph 3. the HDRP have to meny options but the problem is to heavy and as fur known that is not supported from mobile 📱 the problem is each from this Rendering support different type of shader this means i need to decide only 1 and to diced before you make to mach shader or to make shader code the have 3 shader inside 1 from the normal rendering 1 form HDrp and 1 from the urp, im not sure if that technique works. Anyway i still don't understand why the don't have 1 rendered system which to support everyone type of shader and have shader graph and i need to decide 1 of this 3 Rendering type i still don't know what of this Rendering type is the best from my projects i want to make this project in the order to play as meny compuer is passable to have shader graph in the order make my material type and i dont won't to have less options what you suggests?

    Let me make this simple for you. If you want to develop game for computers then you can use standard or HDRP. In HDRP you can use shader graph and for standard RP you can use Amplify Shader Editor(paid). For mobile you can still use Standard or URP(previously LWRP).

    @@UGuruz OK thenx already know that the truth I want my game to by playble in eny platform. because I trying all off the rendering system I already decided to use urp in the order to have matirial editor for free and better performance, the only problem I have at time is the camera layers (if add 2 cameras, 1 for top and 1 for below the don't have option to see both cameras because this option has removed). I hope to fix that problem in the future unity version Allredy have fixed the split screen problem I think I fixed that problem as well. As hdrp is heavy i don't want use that system because i want my game to have good performance in eny Device the only rendering system I have good performance at this time is the standard recording and urp

    @@CrunchyBuncher But where is the "scene settings" option? Its gone, its Unity's fault, they change the editor so often its ridiculous. They treat their product like a box of cereal that must constantly change its appearance just for the sake of changing when in reality this is a highly sophisticated piece of software that takes years or a lifetime to master.

    Half these settings don't exist so this tutorial is useless to me.
