Hi Cathy. I like the colour combination you have used in this painting. Great effect of the appearance of soft gentle light breaking through the centre in contrast to the surrounding jagged brokenness. A good finished result. Thank you. Colin. 😊👍

I noticed you're using a smaller brush than normal. Did you set out to do that on purpose? Sometimes I make myself use a tool or a color that I don't normally use to get out of a rut. I love turquoise and orange together. And, as always, I love the music!! Love you!

Thank you Kasey. I do switch my brushes so I don't get stuck creating the same marks over and over. It's exactly like you said. We get stuck in a rut, so switching things up can help us get out of our heads and into free creativity. Glad you enjoy the music. Love it as well! 💙🧡💚

Another favorite video, I have watched this at least 5 times! Do you have a pallet picked out before you start, or is there some spontaneity in your process. This painting fascinates me!

This painting is absolutely amazing and just a little different, I think, for you. Love it (and love everything you paint also). I also adore that one little tool you use at the beginning of the painting - it makes 6 little lines.......can you tell me what it is and how to get one? It made me think of instruments. Anyway I am watching all your videos.......thanks so much.

Thank you! It is definitely a bit different, but that’s what I use my journal for. I love exploring and asking myself what if! ❤️ The little tool can be found amongst the palette knives in most art stores. ❤️

Do I remember correctly that you don't use any water with your acrylic paints? Do you use any glazing liquid or other medium to make it spread easier? Thanks!

I use some water, but mosty towards the end or if I need s smooth transition between colors. Never ever use medium. At least not in the past few years. 💜

When I started using them I filled them with white and black. Now I have every color under the sun! 😂

I use whatever paint I have, but I dilute it with water. I just go for a consistency that I like. 👍
