Your Germannesd hangs out. Esoteric in English means something different, it's an adjective (well we have esotherisch) used in its original meaning: not known or suitable for public knowledge, intended for only a small group of initiated people. If you want to say what Esotherik means, say pseudoscience, woo, quack or unproven alternative medicine. I think using those terms might be a bit more appropriate

But folks that care about them might. If a friend suffering and struggling was like "I found this tea that's helping me feel better" I'd probably just say "that's great!". I'll quick check that it doesn't have potential negatives, but even if there are no positives placebo effect is real and I care about them. Little thing to feel better, sure. "I heard about this device" okay... I'm gonna eyebrow raise but if it's a one time thing probably sigh and let it go, now's not the time to push them, especially if they're still doing the treatment they need. It's probably not much money, a magnet bracelet or something, let's ask more, (and also make sure they don't think it's a replacement for medical care) "It's called the Healy" OK HOLD THE F UP.

I actually worked on a university project for this company in 2018. Our lecturer knew Markus Schmieke personally. We were asked to develop a mock-up marketing campaign. While working on this project we quickly noticed, that this device was a total bogus. A friend of ours even developed a copy of the device in three days with the most simple equipment - no surprise since the product is just simple electronics. We also met Mr. Schmieke in person. At the end of the project we were asked to present our work to him. I am shocked, by how much this project company grew and what it became.

How this is not illegal, is baffling. As the comapny, THEY are responsible for all of their marketing and sales force. THEY have to approve marketing material, presentations, the claims made, etc. If any of those connected to their MLM make misleading statements, then those are statements from the company. There should be no defense or disclaimer that protects them from that. Just because you disclaim something, doesn't mean you can act completely contrary to it. That's absurd, completely ludicrous!

  • @timotheegermes468

“Unfettered Capitalism” Caused by deregulating consumer protections, rolling back regulations for MLM’s (by former Dept of Education Secretary, Betsy DeVos), people that know that as long as they include in the “fine print” that this company is immune from being sued should the device not work… As well as allowing vague pseudoscience to infiltrate ACTUAL scientific studies by religious evangelicals who believe conspiracy theories that the Covid vaccine has microchips in it… All of those, allow these scams to propagate and as regulations get rolled back, more of them are going to pop up, with the sole purpose of preying off peoples gullibility and desperation.

@@timotheegermes468 Then the law is just shit. That's why it's baffling. If a sales force is either part of your company or acts on behalf of you, you should be responsible for what they do. This of course also means that you have a responsibility to check and know that the sales force does not act in direct opposition to you. You SHOULD be liable for this IF you can't proof due diligence on your part to make sure they only act in your mission and interest. Of course if the sales force tries their hardest to act against you while they can hide it from your checkup, then you did due diligence and shouldn't be liable, cause you were deceived as well. That's the thing. Such systems and strategies already exist. It's not magic. But it's clear that here there is every intent of obfuscation and confusion from the company itself, which they should be liable for.

The issue here is proving Intent, when all you have is 'a wink and a nod.' When I was younger and going through High School I was taught how to collect Data. At one point I realized how to cook said data, even though it wasn't the subject matter, by asking a single question: what happens if you do it 'the wrong way.' The teacher simply said 'don't do that' and moved on, as if that would have stopped me from experimenting on my own. It did teach me valuable lesson on trusting Statistics though, if I can make them dance so easily then anyone can...! To bring it back to context, same thing is happening here: The company only has to say to the sales team 'don't do this thing that will make you lots of money....' They produce all those legal documents and disclaimers knowing that their sale teams are filled with people like me, who will question what happens if you do it 'the wrong way.' There will be more then enough lacking the moral compass though, who will only hear 'this will make you lots of money...' and be sold that the wrong way is in fact, grand. Those are the people who have no qualms teaching others, cause it is a multi-levelled thing in the end, that they should do it the wrong way too. When the main company is called out on it they point to the paperwork they produced and say: We told them not to... it is all their fault, punish them! At that moment, with only the paperwork to go off, it really will look like they tried to do everything to prevent this outcome. Their version of events will be accepted by the government and, at worse, they get a small fine for not being careful enough in their education. Not unless someone comes forth with evidence showing otherwise, the wink and the nod given as they explained this to people, will they be punished for the fraud they created. Oh, and if I sound bitter: Companies do this all the time, a 'wink and a nod' as they tell their sales team what not to do.

16:02 the friend of my mum had breast cancer. She got real treatment and had to use only a few pills for her whole life. I know it‘s not the best solution, but she would have been able to live. After some time she stopped taking these pills because of some esoteric shit. After one year, the cancer was back, this time untreatable and she died 4 months later, leaving behind a loving husband and two kids. My mum is also still struggling. VERY LONG READ AHEAD; in his cinematic universe (yes, he has lore and even played characters for the series for quite some time), there is a research company called IRIS, and the company claims that they help people. but in the account of chase brody (the character jack plays), he was mistreated, ghosted, and even manipulated him to think he is getting the help he needs. despite that, the staff even dragged him to a "safer containment" which is not very helpful of them. might i add, they also advertised many machines and even made an add for one of their products; the WATCHR, a surveillance camera. it claims that it monitors health of any living entities, like humans and such, using the "antimatter technology" it can be powered by itself with no internet (i think, i might be wrong) but that claim is very much suspicious. the reason why; is because sean (jack's real name) also plays another character named antisepticeye (well you probably know where this is going) and turns out, that watchr thing is actually dangerous and he was seen going outside from one of those cameras which means he can stalk and invade others privacy (and possibly uhhh you know do some things that involve with the color red) so yeah a scam and a threat to humanity basically is what this iris thing is going for

If Healy provided clear information about their claims, it would be common knowledge that it does not work, and if it was common knowledge it doesn't work, no one would buy it. This company cannot operate without misleading vulnerable people.

I've stopped getting angry and just sigh and nod my head. As someone with a Scientific background who has tried for decades to educate people for not falling for this kind of things, instead of learning how to think by reading Carl Sagan and others they preferred going for _Chakras and flying carpets_ because that makes them fall into the delusion of feeling special and unique. Well, if that's they want out of their Free Will... Just don't come to be playing the victim when they realize they've been scammed, they'll get a very raw I fkin told you so! out of me. _Every minute an idiot and his money take part_ is a meme for a good reason. Mankind is just the way it is and I can't save the world, and I've learned to deal with it.

For example, the temperature distribution in a room would be a field. You can have a quantum description of a point particle or a rigid object ( = quantum mechanics), similarly you can have a quantum description of a field (= quantum field theory). A famous example is the Standard Model of Physics, which is a quantum field theory. The whole thing with "quantum information field" is nonsense, of course

Love the video. …Sorry for the long read …One thing regarding the FDA: I work in the medical device industry as a mechanical engineer, now focusing on guiding companies through FDA submissions and testing. Concerning the Healy, it's not intended for use in medical settings or by anyone practicing medicine. Therefore, it doesn't have to undergo the FDA's lengthy testing process. The FDA doesn't "clear" devices; it approves them for specific purposes, which aren't transferable to other uses. For instance, if you have a bio-compatible tested tape, you can't use it in your device without proper testing data and reasoning for its safety. This principle applies to all parts of a product. When a device is FDA approved, it's only for the application outlined in the study, and any deviations aren't approved for that device's use. So in summary fda “clear” dose not mean anything in this context. Byby

I was diagnosed 20 years ago with MS, and I've seen it all with this type of garbage. MS, it's highly variable from person to person. Some people have few symptoms and episodes and they can be mild, but with others it can be a near constant and rapid downward progression to disability and eventually death. I'm somewhere in the middle, not the best case scenario, not the worst, but pretty awful and it was certainly worse in the first 6 years after diagnosis as compared to now. I've seen Montel Williams selling blenders all-liquid diet scams, "doctors" in Scandinavia selling their fish only diet books, other strange diet fads, healing crystals, incense, marijuana or marijuana extracts, diluted homeopathic trash, special surgeries to widen the arteries in your neck and carry a high risk of sudden death, etc. and of course this crap. It's all garbage, none of it works. Those that claim to be "cured" are just lucky and are experiencing a prolonged remission, and for some people they may never relapse again in their life. I mean, generally, anecdotal evidence is piss poor proof of anything, but with MS it is utterly meaningless given the high variability of disease progression from person to person. The people selling this crap to desperately ill and dying people and marketing it as a cure, deserve a fate worse than death. Eternal damnation and burning in hell is not enough for these assholes. Your best and only bet for treating MS is to find a real neurologist, hopefully one that specializes in the treatment and mitigation of MS, and find out which drug combination works for you. We live in the time of monoclonal antibodies, and right now because of that, people are living longer and living with less disability. That is the one and only thing that has meant a significant change in the lives of people with MS in the last 15 years. If that doesn't work, I'm sorry. There are options for suppressing the hell out of your immune system, and of course steroids when you have new lesions on the brain and spine but that, though shitty, is far and away more effective than giving your money to con artists and scammers.
