Actually if someone, like all democrats do, hates the USA and loves their Marxist Communism, it is a brilliant law which never directly violates the constitution but ONLY says, if a person THINKS it is legal for them to vote, the US government will not prosecute them for that act. HOWEVER, the vote they cast, can never be removed from the tally as once a ballot is separated from it's envelope, nobody will ever know if it came from a LIVING, LEGAL, US Citizen. So, they got the illegal votes democrats need without any mechanism to remove it from the vote totals. Brilliant! Treasonous but brilliant.

Call your city clerk’s and tell them you have a home with 2-3 adult afghans who need ballots printed in their native language. See what the clerk says. If they say yes where should I send them that’s a problem. If they say no, tell them they feel like citizens and the law says that’s all the requirements they need to fulfill. My wife entered the US more than 25 years ago via the legal immigration channels. Tons of paperwork, delays, vaccinations, proof of financial support, ad nauseum. She had to prove her value to this country. It disgusts us to see tens of millions of people with little or no education, who would never have qualified for a legal visa, invading our homeland for no other reason than to grab handouts. Instead of being arrested immediately, they're treated like royalty. Of course they will continue to violate federal law by voting as non-citizens. After all, they come from countries where corruption is not only rampant, it's a culture.

It pains me even more because my mother was BORN IN USA, but she was prevented from registering us as Americans because she married a Jamaican and we were born inJamaica. Had we been born otu of wedlock we would have been okay. WTH

So an American citizen that may have committed a felony did their time and hopefully are reformed can't vote in certain states, but a illegal immigrant that committed a felony to get here can gtfoh.

Context: this appears to be in reference to USC 18 Section 611, which allows people to vote if all three of these provisions are true: 1. Their parents are both US citizens 2. They were permanent residents of the US prior to turning 16 3. They reasonably believe themselves to be citizens. That subsection was last amended in 2000.

I've been a legal resident of Taiwan for 36 years. I'm STILL not allowed to vote because I am not a citizen. In order to become a citizen, I am required to first relinquish my US citizenship.

I am a Honduran citizen living in the USA for over 25 years. I am a dual citizen. I am not allowed to vote in the Honduran elections no more because my Honduran documents are expired. In Honduras even if you are a Honduran citizen but you have no documents proving that you are... you are not allowed to vote and we don't do mail on ballot. We must vote in person.

In posting the US Code a few minutes ago that was discussed here, I started thinking about it, and: *it never says the vote they make has to be counted, it says they are not in violation if they think they are citizens, so there is room to reverse this code.* Basically, the person voting illegally is not held liable would be my interpretation. There is hope that the SCOTUS will take this up before the election takes place on November 5th, 2024. Subparagraph (c)(3) *18 U.S. Code § 611 - Voting by aliens* (a)It shall be unlawful for any alien to vote in any election held solely or in part for the purpose of electing a candidate for the office of President, Vice President, Presidential elector, Member of the Senate, Member of the House of Representatives, Delegate from the District of Columbia, or Resident Commissioner, unless- (1)the election is held partly for some other purpose; (2)aliens are authorized to vote for such other purpose under a State constitution or statute or a local ordinance; and (3)voting for such other purpose is conducted independently of voting for a candidate for such Federal offices, in such a manner that an alien has the opportunity to vote for such other purpose, but not an opportunity to vote for a candidate for any one or more of such Federal offices. (b)Any person who violates this section shall be fined under this title, imprisoned not more than one year, or both. Id doesn't mean someone is a citizen. Foreigners here in Florida vote with their id no problem. I couldn't believe they had a i voted sticker on when i seen them.

Now that Americans all over the country have had a taste of mass immigration and they’ve seen the impact of it in their own communities and on their wallets, the majority of voters, for the first time since polling on the subject began, support the mass deportation of illegals. Of the 2024 presidential candidates, Trump is the only one who would even consider doing it. In fact, he _intends_ to do it. Unless people start getting deported, the flow of migrants will never stop. What other option is there?

An argument people really don't understand the rare times its even made. I forget how many CA is expected to have, but believe double digits. Hmmm.... that's a good point. Since Biden is only able to dole out benefits and cash payments to these people under a "parolee" program, then the Biden admin has classified them as felons regardless of whether or not a court has done that. If they are felons on "parole," shouldn't that disqualify them from voting? The problem is, however, that when they show up with some fake ID to a polling station (or multiple polling stations), how do poll station workers definitively know they are a "parolee?" The ridiculous way US elections are organized, Kim Jung Il could show up and vote, no questions asked.

I was born in Connecticut over half a century ago and when I retired to a new state, they asked for my new driver's license, which I could only get after presenting a birth certificate, a social security card and2 proofs of residence in the form of a utility bill and a letter from my bank and THEN they checked with the county where I had just moved from in my old state to make sure that I was off their rolls (even though I had called them and done that right before I moved). No one asked if I "BELIEVED" I was a citizen. I had to prove it big-time! And I never lived outside the country, never broke it's laws paid taxes scrupulously, etc. F*** double standards!

What on earth can we do about this??

This is absolutely ridiculous. I hope this crazy loophole gets fixed before the next election. Polls have been meaningless.
