Export Word to PowerPoint with a few clicks - New Feature from Microsoft

Microsoft has a new feature where you can EXPORT your Word document into PowerPoint. It is just a few clicks to convert your Word doc to a slide deck. It is in preview mode right now, but it worked great in all my test. Exporting Word into PowerPoint is a huge timesaver.
I recommend you use headings in Word, which you should be doing anyway. I used Heading 1 and Heading 2 in my two tests in this video. The export feature works in Word for the Web. It is not in Word for the desktop yet, but I'd imagine Microsoft is working on that.

Here is another suggestion. Work in Word desktop, save to OneDrive, and then open the Word doc in Word for the Web.

I'm a Microsoft office subscriber however I don't see the export the document option only export webpage option is seen
Your video really helps me a lot bcz today was my assignment n i had to submit file in the form of ppt... N I didn't have time to make ppt bcz today was submission due date.. So I just go through by your video n applied same as in the video you told us.. And it works... Really thank you

Thank you. However, I am trying to extract contents from a CV in word to automatically take a unique form in power point.
Export to power point is grayed out only web export is available please advise

Because Microsoft seems not to like the idea of using Power Point and Word simultaneously. You cannot use Power Point to do Word things and Word things to do Power Point things.
Agreed, this is a good and timely innovation by Microsoft, but it needs to be better. I envision a process of prepping Styles in one program to Export to Styles in another program. This is like the process of preparing a TXT file or a CSV file to serve as the handshaking connection between databases. Of course, this means that MS needs to upgrade PowerPoint to handle the Styles feature like MS Word. I hope they do this in future releases.

If I have a directory with 2 columns made in word. Can I transfer to powerpoint with the purpose to make flipbook. Is that possible. If there are updates, I have to merge again into the directory in word.
Export button is not found, how can i get it

When i pressed file it took me back to the lobby thingy💀and then when i went to export it doesnt show the powerpoint thing
The option is greyed out. I see others have said the same thing. Any thoughts on why?

What about exporting to a particular Theme? Corporate colors, etc.

I'm not sure if it is there yet. But, you should be able to apply your company theme after it is in PPT.
It is only work for English text. I tried it for Arabic text and it failed
Great video but what if you also have images you need to show in the presentation?

Images and tables don't work now, but according to Microsoft, that is coming soon.
