The guys take a look at all the insane weaponry and skills used throughout Siege and how accurate they could be in a real-life scenario. What’s the difference between Smoke, Impact, and Baseball grenades? Which way should a claymore face? Why should you only have gunfights in construction areas? Tune in and find out and don’t forget to let us know what you think in the comments below!

So for all the Gamology people, the basic plot of these battles in Siege is training basically, Rainbow 6 is snagging choice operators and are having them practice counter-terrorism siege tactics. The main reason in setting is some new high-end terrorism group who are picking a fight with everyone are pulling all kinds of crazy shit and thus why all the these training battles. A good amount of the character specific gadgets are full custom creations or just kitbash ideas that they found really work well. (the car battery being one example of the latter, that particular character did a DEEP undercover job imbedding in a drug running biker gang and was so deep he had to kitbash and buy tools for defense incase things went south or he had to takeout someone/someones to keep his cover, couldn't keep anything with him from his real job.)

Because they brought up the frag being smooth, here's a tidbit. Grenades briefly did have those pineapple ribs we tend to think off, when someone says the word grenade. The idea was to make the fragments more controlled and less random. But it was soon found out that, outside the ribs did nothing significant. So instead the ribs are now inside the grenade, which was found to actually do the thing they were supposed to do.

I would like to comment on 2 things. 1. He is absolutely right about putting water bag behind an explosive being used for breaching a door or wall... It really pushes the impact of explosive in the opposite direction, so pretty accurate info. 2. About smoke grenade, they were also pretty accurate but didn't mention how one in R6 works. Smoke grenade never just explodes and produces a smoke fog instantly, it is more of a gradual smoke, coming out of the grenade, and stays coming out like 3 minutes or so. The one we see in R6 seige is more similar to another kind of grenade known as WP (White Phosphorus) grenade which goes of instantly and produces a smoke like one in R6 Seige but the thing about WP grenade is, it can't be used indoors and can be pretty lethal if someone is in close vacinity and get impacted with WP coming out of the grenade itself. It burns through clothes, plastic, flesh, pretty much anything it comes in contact with, very rapidly and can seriously injure a friendly and destroy an equipment as well... So yeah, the one shown in R6 seige, operates like a WP grenade but produces smoke like a regular smoke grenade..

I have a dumb question, how hard is it to breath when you stand inside that smoke from the smoke grenade? Most games make it seem like it doesn't effect you at all, I figure it's similar or worse than smoke bomb's that you would use on the 4th of July.
