On the rise? Based of what, trials in your home stadium? Has any Jamaican finish top 3 at the Olympics since Bolt? Maybe we can say that if 2 of them medal. Or bare minimum all 3 make the finals. Right now that statement is a bit premature imo

Those 400m runners are something else.... they would have definitely gotten a medal in the 4x400 meters... If they had done something like this to USA the smallest slipups they would be left off the national team in the future. These younger Jamaican can never be like a Usain Bolt, Gregory Horton, Danny McFarlane and so many other patriotic standouts... Most of them don't reach anywhere yet, and do you see their behavior as if they arrived. I would have left dem 400 guy home. Anyway this will be remembered for a long time, knowing JAAA & JOA they probably will have something cooking up for them in the future 😂

With the 4x4 while I understand the sense of 'betrayal' realistically, can we also consider how tiring on the legs it would be to run the individual races and come back for a relay at the olympics if we had got there. I think it just goes to show the lack of depth. How does it make sense that we can't meet the qualifying standard without the very top runners performing. It was the JAAA mess to begin with. So why should the coaches realistically compromise their athletes health (many of which are young athletes) to cover their ****-up. And lets be very very real for years we have known better than to look for anything from the 400 men both flat and relays. Its just at world champs recently that we saw a glimmer of hope. It wasn't fair to the team mates that showed up, but ultimately the blame lands at the feet of the people that are selecting the olympic team who did not build the schedules around the advice of the coaches.
