We people didn't take English as language we take it as subject which in every school teaches!! But y mizo people only have those problems 😆

@@user-yy2nz6rn7zyea many of us do speak English especially those who have it as a 2nd language..... But majority of us have to learn mizo(Duhlian) language after our own tribes langauge like if ur hmar or lai or paite etc.... for most of us English can even be 3rd or 4th language if growing up in a govt institutions..... Leaning Hindi is much more challenging for us with this case.... But yes..we like Thai, korean, or chinese or japanese have deep sence of cultural pride over our langauge.......we will not be like arunachal or tripura who replaced our langauge with alien languages....

The reason Mizoram is one of the most educated states is that they know how to read and write their own language. It's not about speaking English, if people who thinks speaking English = educate (advance) they're totally wrong. Some are using Google and they thinks they are the smartest 😂😂😂😂

Our food would be quite bland as a taste for foreigners but as a mizo we like trying to get as much natural taste in our foods in most of them and enjoy the natural umami flavor to get the best out of it , but after the introduction of Ajinomoto (MSG) in the 90's , msg is popular in our dishes but that doesn't apply to all familes and people living here as there are still a lot of people who still make dishes the old traditional way , Thanks for visiting Mizoram 👍

Guys please know the difference between being educated and literated and please stop arguing about spoken english. Spoken english comes down to practice, since we usually don't have alot of tourist/visitors due to our location and ILP (Inner Line Permit) . So the need to use of english is rare hence the lack of practice.

Welcome to Mizoram. Today, the teens of Mizoram can speak very well in English. Whom you've met in the shop like the one at Sanpiau shop would not be educated because she might be from the other side of Mizoram (east) side. The educated are at schools, offices etc., and we use one language i.e Mizo language, and at the offices English and Mizo is used too. So, I hope you understand the present Mizo people now. Luckily, the two wheeler taxi driver could speak in English, cause he might have studied upto cl X or XII or maybe a graduate. One reason is that, we are not mixed up with some other tribes from North East India like other states. I've studied in Patkai Christian College, Dimapur Seithekima. I have many Naga friends. Those that I still remember were Benjamin Hollohon (L) and Daniel Hollohon (L), they are from Dimapur, we used to study in Bangalore, Bishop Cottons Boys School in the 80's. They were the sons of Hollohon (Ex Minister), I don't know whether he's kicked the buket or not. They are of Sema tribe.

Visited mizoram last year and starve the whole 2 days trip because of the food 😂 I went from one place to another to get good authentic mizo food it’s very bland, overall i really like the people and environment I would love to live there. Just one thing food is the problem 😅❤

I don't really like majority of our traditional foods either xD you should try as much as possible so u can have ur favs cuz the foods they serve at restaurant does not even cover half the dishes. Try watching either from KZread cooking or IGs

Yeah other Zo tribes living outside of Mizoram also make fun of their bland spiceless food. I once had a pork Hotpot in Vairengte, gave me a headache. 😂

Tbh momos here in mizoram are not so good comparing to the other states in India... I've experienced it... It's been 4 years I've lived here now and i don't find momo which i can say is best found here, but you'll find some which taste a bit fine.
