Exploring the Jewel of CAMBODIA: The MANY MYSTERIES of Angkor Wat

In today’s episode we explore the mysteries of a lost wonder of the world: the city of Angkor.
This is Episode 6 in our Finding the Real Cambodia series.
We are in Siem Reap Cambodia, and very excited to finally explore the many locations of the lost city of Angkor. We start by waking up super early to watch the sunrise over Angkor Wat temple. Angkor Wat is located about half an hour from the city centre and provides one of the best sunrise spots in all of Asia.
Angkor Wat displays a unique combination of Hindu and Buddhist architecture, owing to it’s lost and multi-layered history. The Khmer empire was prolific during it’s peak and was able to build some amazing temples and water systems as well. In fact, as amazing and mighty the temple is, it is just one of the many temples that were located in Angkor. Many of the others today lie in ruins, and we make our way slowly to uncover the secrets behind some of these temples.
In total, we spend a full 3 days here in Angkor, exploring the many mysteries and questions around the lost city- how did it become the largest city of it’s time? What led to the ultimate demise of the Khmer Empire? Why is the forest reclaiming the city?
Hope enjoyed watching our short documentary on the Angkor Wat and the lost city. If you have enjoyed watching our Finding the Real Cambodia series, then please leave us a comment below!

I am so sorry when I see this lost city. But until now the temple still beautiful 😍. I think what is the modern during that time. ❤Do not know how modern and civilized at that time to build such a perfect temple. The Cambodian people are amazing. I love Cambodia.❤❤❤❤

It is such an amazing city to explore. We also find it so interesting to think this was all built way before the use of technology. We feel Cambodia is one of those countries everyone should try and visit, there is so much to see and learn 💕
