As far as I know that old cable car was not a trade line from India rather it connected kathmandu to hetauda, a town in southern Nepal. It was used to carry goods and especially cement from a government owned factory in hetauda.

I literally live at the foot of chandragiri hill. Its a five minute walk from my home to the cable car station. But I have never visited the place. I just don't like to travel much and the place being just few minutes of walk from my home never felt like travelling. But thanks for showing me this place.

(I also need to get back in shape) looks nice fun cable car ride, and being awestruck by mountain ranges. good history on those old cargo ropeways, I heard a rumor that it might have been truck drivers that didn't like the competition back in the day that sabotaged the system. hope modern system are made to ease congestion getting in and out of the valley. plus future airtaxi van drone- airships.

It was even better in real life, and Chandragiri isnt the only place to see the mountain ranges. Yes!! Late lunch and sauna helped a lot!
