The Tarcoles River Bridge, also known as the Crocodile Bridge is an iconic landmark is located just an hour's drive from San Jose and offers a breathtaking view of the Tarcoles River, which is home to one of the largest populations of American crocodiles in the world.
We stopped here on our drive from San Jose to Uvita and got to see tons of crocodiles swimming and sunbathing on the riverbanks. It's free to walk out on the bridge and see the crocodiles, and there are several options for food. If this is your first time in the area, it's definitely worth it to stop and check it out.
