San Diego is vast and it depends on which part you’re talking about. Downtown San Diego proper is a shithole. Lots of smaller communities around San Diego are great still. Rent sucks all throughout.
Can confirm how shitty San Diego is now. Wife & I went last summer and tents/homeless/drug addicts were EVERYWHERE! guys tried to fight me at about 2pm right off of broadway because I simply glanced at him while he was walking toward us waiting for an Uber. I’ll never go back…Dems have destroyed yet another once beautiful place.
It is in fact awful. Rampant crime, and rising rent costs. SF 2.0
