Exploring the Ansley Dynatone at The Museum of Making Music

    I recently acquired one of these. Do you have any information about the tuning? I had a piano tuner come over and attempt to tune it and he told me he was reluctant to raise it to 440. I wonder if this piano is designed to be pitched lower or if it’s just way out of tune…

    Most likely the strings were corroded and he was scared of breaking a string, I am a piano tech and that is the main reason why I wouldn’t pull it up to pitch. I have the chance to purchase one right now, have you had any luck coming up with its value? Also do the electronics work on yours have your gotten it figured all figured out? If so you should post a demo video, there’s not a lot of info out there on them.
