    IMHO Sean Hurley is one of the best out there right now. Love the minimalism of his left hand movements along w olde skool chops underpinned by a wealth of theory and experience.

    I got mine a week ago. Got the dark night finish, couldnt resist, finally pulled the trigger after the desire didnt fade for a few months. It's my first and only precision (I am mainly a j bass player) and I am absolutely in love. The action is nice and low, the tone is warm and full (rotosound steelwound strings), but gets nice and aggressive when I turn on the gain. The pups and bass's natural resonance make for great versatility.

    To the folks that think $1500 is too much for this, smart phones cost $1000, a Toyota Corolla LE starts at $19,600, Average running sneakers $100. Buy used if your budget does not allow new, but dont expect discount prices for new American made products. Pricing should not be a surprise if you have bought anything in the last 5 years.

    actually it really differs from individual to individual. more often than not those with budgets lower than $2K will think that this is going to be ex, when in reality, they haven't seen vintage, custom shop and the ultra series, that those are way more than $1.5K.

    Just curious if anyone in the comments Had or Has one of the early 2000's American Fender P-Bass "Standard" Series.. Or if you don't own one maybe remember playing one?? The American Fender Jazz Standard Series is what I believe I had around 2005.. Seems like I really liked the American Standard Series.. I remember buying my American Fender Jazz Standard Series at Guitar Center in Indianapolis in 2005 and I believe Brand New I paid $1,500 I think. I no longer have it but I have several pics of me playing it. Lol So anyway lol, Does anyone know if these American Profesional 2 are close to the old American Standard as far as Quality build and products, and obviously the Tone, and Playability, the feel overall, and also the Necks.. Sorry ya'll that's a lot to ask for lol.. I'm super curious about these Profesional 2.. Can't decide between possibley one of these P-Bass (probably brand new) or if it'd be better to look for a Late 90's-Early 2000's American P-Bass.. If anyone is willing to share their experiences and opinions with me that'd be awesome!! 🤘 I've never got to play one of these or even see one! So whichever I buy it'll be online with not getting to play one. Anyway thanks ya'll!! 🤘

    Why is Fender still making necks with heel truss rod adjustment in 2021? Sorry, that's a deal breaker for me. I'm not taking the neck off every time I need to set up my guitar or bass.

  • @cabbycabby1770

    @cabbycabby1770

    Because what you said isn’t true. They are not making necks that require removal. You just need a ball ended hex wrench. There is a spot cut out of the pickguard specifically for that tool so you don’t have to remove the neck.

    it's also how accidental mishandling easily points to a potential loss in resale value and stuff like that. but also they'd have to consider that this more or less caters to the wealthier professional musicians. and by accidental mishandling I don't mean relic; I mean more serious damage that could lead to unplayability - they probably aren't ready to handle such high budgets

    Hey, that guy from Vertical Horizon! AKA John Mayer's bass dude - a fine player, but man, I'm unimpressed by any of these tones for such a classic bass. To me, a P-Bass should mostly be picked anyhow, it's how you get that traditional sound and the aggressive attack. I'm thinking the amps had a lot to do with it - I've heard much better tone out of Ampegs, SWRs, MarkBass, etc. Sound is far too dry
