    2:53:28 I don’t know how far you are into the game, but here are some things you may have already figured out, but in the small chance you haven’t: 1. If a party member falls in battle and you win, that party member won’t receive any exp 2. You CAN talk normally to Mitsuru by just pressing “I just want to chat/talk” 3. You can check your party members personas by going in the menu and you can get their backstories too (personas that is) Those are the main 3 that popped up to me during this session. This comment will most likely age like milk, but oh well

    Hey Shark! Love your videos! Couple of things to note, You can talk to mitsuru it's the first option. When the speech bubble above their heads is a light blue they have something to talk to you about, if it is grey you have exhausted their dialogue. Another is that you can see the persona backgrounds for your teammates! Some personas have interesting backgrounds that fit the person. One last thing is that you can see a shadows weakness with mitsuru during battle, you will want to prioritize checking every battle to get the hang of things. You're doing amazing! Your learning way faster than any other first time persona player!

    @@ActualBlueBlu I disagree. Persona 3-4’s anime’s are well liked. Persona 3, while lacking a lot of stuff, did develop the MC and a lot of that anime was incorporated into reload for a reason. Persona 4’s is almost universally beloved for capturing a lot of what the original was, and adding more to compensate for the removed content. Both anime add lots of content to compensate for removing from the original. The only adaptation that was an L is P5’s, and even that anime had content like OVA and other scenes that were incorporated into Royal.

Having a youtuber without experience in JRPGs go through a shin megami tensei is incredibly rare, moreso one that's invested in the story and the playthrough enough that mechanical frustration will not dissuade them in the overture. Let the man discover the gameplay things, or not discover them, unless he explicitly asks the comment section for advice. Shin Megami Tensei games in particular and JRPGs in general tend to get agressively backseaty when people realise the streamer isn't using "all" the tools the game gives. But let them fumble. About 4 hours in and we're finally (sort of) out of the tutorial. To add to the plethora of advice you're getting, money and SP management is the initial hump of Persona games. Both ease themselves later on as you get better rewards, etc. but for now prioritizing money rewards from battle is generally recommended. Also, SP recovery items are hard to come by and very valuable, using them wisely and using SP efficiently in battle is key in Persona.

    54:26 one thing to remember from here on out... Never stack the same bonus, it doesn't work, and I learnt that in the very end of my playthrough. Since there is a lot of equipment that can have the same effects, combine those with different effects, yet still good stats. There are cases when stats stack up and the game usually tells you that, like Boost and Amp, but if an equipment has like Wind Evasion (low) and other thing has Wind Evasion (high), it will only consider the better one, since these two are also considered to be the same buff Also, you can sell valuables without worrying. There is a high-tier valuable that is needed for an end-game side quest, however you will need to defeat a specific enemy for that, and by that time you will be able to take it down easily, if you so happen to challenge them before that point.

    With how Persona works, you will have to manage your time and plan ahead, keeping in mind availability of different people, places and etc. General advice: every activity gives you from 1 to 4 points to your social stats/social links (most social links will only rank up if you spend time after reaching a certain threshold, which can usually be achieved within their early to middle rank ups, depending on how much they feel like rewarding you with points), and everyday activities will always follow the rule of granting more points if you spend more money on them, and since early P3 is really tight on money, you need to think about that as well. Academics also takes around 3 times more points to level up, so don't forget that Other than that, prioritise hanging out with people, since they are what you need social stats for in the first place, and most of them REALLY dislike evenings and holidays (all school students, since their social links usually involve, you know, school, will just be blocked during that time, so you really don't want to end up with months of no one to talk to, if you ignore your schoolmates). I would say P3 is the most strict of the Persona games, especially since now in Reload you have much more new activities added throughout the story, so if the idea of missing events bothers you, that can happen here with a few characters

    (one thing before I go for a rant, Search Fusions ONLY consider the personas that you have in your inventory, and not the Compendium, which I find completely stupid, so if you don't like the idea of blindly fusing, especially in end game, there's a website that allows you to see all the possibilities and skills and basically everything I am about to talk about) As for Persona Fusions, there is a lot of hidden mechanics, especially about the skill inheritance. Some Personas have unique skills that can not be passed down, and most Persona won't be able to inherit skills of the element that they are weak too. The thing to remember is that you can not swap your Persona more than once per turn (including one more turns, so if you switched your Persona somewhere in the middle of one mores, you still have to wait for your next natural turn), so counting that with the fact that some Personas just naturally have better STATS, like magic and strength, at the same level, fusing can quickly become the place where you burn all your money trying to create some impressive killing machines. Remember, when you register a Persona, they are already in the Compendium, so you are basically rewriting it's stats with new ones, so you can then summon their leveled up versions, or those with completely different skills, and then use them as you like. My general advice would be to fuse as many as possible, since each specific Persona can be created through dozens of combinations, which will allow you to pass down skills that you would like on them. All the results are predetermined, so if you would to fuse two specific personas they would always give the same result. It usually takes the average base level of both Personas and then adds a level or two; so mid game fusions can be quite painful since they would require you to fuse at least one strong Persona that you have. I did not really fuse my Personas first time around, so by the time of end game, when I wanted some Special Fusions, I ended up spending like two hours preparing the specific Personas they wanted. Had a lot of fun anyway, but I can imagine it'll be a lot of fun if you do that as you progress and something to also consider when spending your money

  • @AshEshyr
    @AshEshyr2 ай бұрын

    the reasons to not register a persona to the compendium, is if you train a persona a lot and then fuse it away, and then catch a wild persona, you wouldn't necessarily want to override the version you trained up that has more skills unlocked. personas also get more expensive the stronger they are, so you might want to keep some persona's weaker int he compendium so its not as expensive to summon them for fusing fodder also you can totally chat to mitsuru like the others, its just that since she is the navigator she also ahs more options, if you want the regular dialog you need to select "jsut wanted to chat"

Plus the mandatory/storyline ones too obviously.) If you can get ~12-15levels per trip before everyone is out of SP consider yourself as being average leveled or slightly above. Also try to have enough money to clear out all the vending machines every Monday, using them between fights to recover cheaply (so you can get there in one trip easier.)
