Vietnam is the second largest producer in the world after Brazil. Vietnam is the world's 2nd biggest coffee exporter. Coffee plays big part in Vietnamese culture.

Someone say Vietnam would be the first if they themselves didn't consume so much coffee. LOL! Not sure if that's true, but coffee is definitely consumed a lot there.

Thank you to put proper name for the city " Saigon"
I was in Vietnam for over 2 weeks last month. I also visited HoiAn, Ha Noi and Cam Ranh as well. I didn’t mind the hot and humid. I used to live in Houston for over 20 years so it didn’t bother me at all. Loved visiting Vietnam! Great video and thanks for sharing!

NEVER recommend bun dau mam tom or anything that has the word mam in it to newbies. Shrimp paste is for more experienced people. I don't know why Vietnamese people keep on recommending something that would turn foreigners off - heck many Vietnamese people cannot eat it, why would you recommend it to a foreigner who's not familiar with the food? You must gently introduce the best foods and then once they've acquired the taste for it, suggest the more pungent/aromatic stuff. LOL
fabulous!!

Vietnam could be more enjoyable if the people stopped throwing garbage indiscriminately, kept things neat and clean like the Japanese, especially the food.
@doodahgurlie
Жыл бұрын
It would also be much more enjoyable if you haven't spent that last year plus tossing out negative comments in every Vietnamese video you see. Maybe mix it up a little by saying something unique or maybe balancing out your negative comments like, oh, how the country is quite safe compared to many other places (women can travel alone without being sexually harassed/raped/murdered/heckled), how although it's a poor country, the people oft times give free food/drinks or even extras to tourists, how they often bend over backwards to accommodate travelers although they are paid peanuts or get nothing out of it, etc.
I just had my first trip to HCMC last week, I love the city, the food, the ppl are nice...absolutely planning another trip there soon....do you guys think is too hot tho?

It was crazy hot. We definitely planned our days to try to be in air conditioning (or in our Airbnb) for the hottest parts of the day! That or just limit our time outside and bring Clara’s little portable fan 😅

Hi Ryan and Tor, thank you for sharing this video. I have two questions. 1.) Was it difficult to travel with your little one? 2.) Were electronics cheaper in Vietnam? I was planning to buy the same DJi mic and a new lens, but wasn't sure if it was the same price, I would love to save a few bucks.
@ryanandtor
Жыл бұрын
Hey, thanks so much for watching! 1. We're pretty fortunate with how flexible Clara is! That has made it really easy to travel with a baby! 2. From what we experienced, the list price is the almost the exact same compared to what we're used to in Canada. That being said, there was more room to negotiate so we ended up spending about $30 less than what we would've paid at home! Hope that helped :)
@itstheluufamily
Жыл бұрын
@@ryanandtor Thank you so much for sharing this was super helpful! I think everything in Canada is over price, so the extra $30 does go a long way!
Is it cheaper to buy the microphone in Asia than here in North America? Trying to decide if I should buy now or wait. ❤ y’all!
@ryanandtor
Жыл бұрын
We ended up getting a great deal (saved $30+) compared to home for the microphones! In Malaysia we just bought a new camera lens and saved over $100 compared to what we’d normally pay!

@@doodahgurlie then why are there so many of these KZread channels call it a Saigon Food tour..Do they all have an agenda also?
@doodahgurlie
Жыл бұрын
@@paldo771 I misread that question, so lemme respond properly now. Because people like you make comments like you did. Many southern overseas Viets INSIST or demand that Western vloggers call it Saigon. I've been in the comment s sections enough to recognize it. Just think about it: if all the Western vloggers were calling it Saigon to begin with, then you wouldn't have made your comment about it at all, correct? Again, agenda. I have no problems with Westerners calling it what they want of their own volition, I take issues when southern (mostly) overseas Viets insist or demand that Westerners call it Saigon to condition those vloggers and their audience by steering them in a certain direction. I can often spot bitter southern overseas Viets because they tend to spout negative vitriol regardless of how great a video is or will be all passive-aggressive in their comments towards the north.
Welcome to our country Vietnam, i know you both already have plans for traveling around our country, but if you guys have plenty of time you both should visit Phu Quoc island, it has a lot of fescinated places to explore and it isn't far from Ho Chi Minh city at all, it takes about 15 -20 minutes flying.i bet you both wouldn't regret it, trust me. Wish you both have a fantastic time in Vietnam .

I wouldn't recommend Phu Quoc, I've visited there twice, it's not well developed, mostly dirt roads and will be extremely difficult for them to get around since they have a small child.
