ABOUT US
We are the Bags Packed Family: Jonathan and Kelly with our three children. We sold our home in Alaska, USA, nine years ago, and headed overseas. We are teachers and found fantastic teaching positions in Chennai, India. Two years later, we moved to the United Arab Emirates. Three years after that, during the beginning of the pandemic, we made the move to our current teaching jobs in Indonesia. We love traveling and finding adventures as a family. We hope that our travels will inspire and provide our children with the confidence to meet new people, try new foods, and enjoy learning a new language. We hope our vlogs will inspire you to get out and travel, too!

my son "stole" my glass of french cognac at a dinner when he was 4-5...I couldn't stop laughing at his disgusted face..and he still doesn't like cognac almost 22 years later =)
Idk why but I'm addicted to this family 's videos and just subscribed.
The way Cedar talks is so adorable ! the disappointed look on Forrest's face when the margarita is pulled away from him is hilarious.
I love Kelly’s excited smile as she’s ordering indian, she knows she’s going to eat well this time 👌👌

Would eat even better if it were Trini or Sri Lankan - they make Indian curries nice and light.
all three of your children look exactly like their mom lol The youngest is very adorable, his eyes are always sleepy 😂
I Think Ultimately Granite Could Become a Really great Food Blogger, Just Mark Wiens or Joel Bruner and Others...Etc. As an Ex Chef I am REALLY Impressed with His Ability to Succinctly Describe the Flavors and/or Textures. Actually all of your children are quite Food Aware.. But I Definitely hope to see him and Cedar Beyond this series!! I love their little side videos when "You're "NOT AROUND."" 😉 Obviously we love to watch Forest grow up too... 🙂

Thanks for saying so! I just shared your comment with him.
Granite love when you comment in the food well explained and this kids they know what they want. Thank you for second videos this week❤
Loved your video. Love your family. Forest is creative and inquisitive. Forest likes to give his creation to his brother and not to his Dad. 😄Poor Daddy.😄

You guys are awesome, I love different kinds of food too
Thank you for a new videos. It is so pleasant to watch your blessed family travel and enjoy food together. It is so hard to find a family like your family. Children is a blessing from God, but God only give you a family with three lovely kids but God also give you health and money to travel to many countries.
Hi from Sweden, love your videos ❤
Yaay for Kel! So happy you that you got some of your favs to enjoy! Everything looked delicious and the food hall seems really cool. Mr Wobbly legs wanted to sample the Margarita is priceless. 😂😂😂✌✌❤🇨🇦
Love your videos. So happy to see Kelly excited about Indian food
Tôi yêu gia đình bạn chúc bạn và gia đình thưởng thức ẩm thực Việt Nam
I am also addicted to this video. Kelly looks so radiant & beautiful in that star red T-shirt. I like to listen attentively to the kids’ explanation about the taste of food. I was so amazed that Forest customised a little small creation for his bro! Wow , yr kids are awesome & each looks so handsome & beautiful ; they are growing ❤
Fun fun and more videos
Love you baby Forest! And the whole family! ❤❤❤
Such a good Big brother 👏👏
Sorry for late. But, I felt hungry watched this episode. Good job.🤤❤
Greeting from Vietnam, hope ur family enjoy the trip ❤❤❤❤🥤🥤💥💥✨✨🙆♂🙆♂
Forest is such a creative little man. He was just in his own world slowly making a dish out of what appealing to him on the table. A future master chef in the making Love your family ❤
Hello from Europa ...Good Food ...I like .....
Wishing your family a happy experience in Vietnam!
🥰🎊🎉🥳😍i missed my bags packed family i love this family these kids one the parents lottery system .
Love this video 💗💗💗. You know I have not been to that street food place and have to go there. There are quite a few food courts underground in the city centre. They are usually in the same place with shopping centres. The miji pancakes should be wrapped in lectuce and herbs then dip in the sauce.
For some reason, I really love the way Granite describes his food. It's so clear and vivid that it almost feels like I'm there tasting the food with him!
Forrest lovely creation for brother is so adorable!
Love you form Vietnam.
ลูกๆน่ารักมากชอบดูเด็กๆๆๆๆ
great video...
This is my favourite food court when I travelled to Ho Chi Minh! And pork ribs is my favorite ❤
Great place to eat, heaps of choice & good value
I will be there in July and I am definitely will be going there
very glad to know Granite and Cidar's love for Idly and Dosas. Basically i hail from Mangaluru, Karnataka- India, where Idly and dosas are staple food. Lots of best wishes and love to kids, especially, Little Rockstar Forest
Thanks for sharing and comments keep it up take care yourself and the family blessings bye-bye 💯👍
This reminds me of a mall food court. I think I would try to eat every dish offered. Or at least visit each stall once. The last thing you had [I think it was Pho Cuon], looked so good. Definitely something I want to try.
5:32 LOL! Sneaky lil guy almost found out the hard way that it wasn't lemonade haha

Granite is grow up so fast. I can see his muscle grown. Good job man, please keep humble dude.
Amazing food choices there. Granite is going to be a good foody! Forest could be an upcoming chef ❤ Cedar is growing to be a beauty ❤
Good.job.
I have one kislux bag I got in 2019, it's the LV white catogram speedy. It's counter quality and it has a nice honey patina now, so the leather is real. I think whatever makes you happy go for it. I've seen LV with plastic leather and blood red glaze...
Granite’s an awesome food reviewer; very articulate 👍
gia đình thật hạnh phúc
Gosh so much tasty looking food guys, think id have a sad face like Forest if someone took a margarita away from me. 😂
This is one of the most fun experiences of exploring the different cities in Asia - the Hawker style markets, night markets, street food stalls etc. Just get something from each stall and share it family style.
Your family can visit Ly Son island, very peaceful and cool. Wishing your family a happy trip to Vietnam.
❤your family forever
Your kids are so mature 😊

lol Forest want that lemonade 😅aka margarita
there are many nice vegan/veggie restaurants in HCM City, you guys should try
Pretty expensive splurge for u guys in vietnam, but wow selection 👌👌
The people who work there speak very good english
Chờ mãi để xem 3 đứa bé này cưng dễ thương quá.
Yay lots of choices for Kelly! How long has she been vegetarian?❤
It seems like you've been in VN for quite from time now. When you keep saying vinegar chili sauce, it's fish sauce. So you can just say nuoc mam or nuoc cham. It's fish sauce, water, garlic, vinegar, sugar and chilis. I'm sure a lot of people will know what you're talking about if you just say nuoc mam or nuoc cham without having to explain the taste of it. Also those yellow "tacos" are called banh khot. Some people refer it like a small Vietnamese pancake. Larger form of that version is called banh xeo. Best way to eat it is to wrap it with veggies and dip or just put veggies on top and scoop in from nuoc mam in there
Ho Chi Minh (Saigon) is actually a bit cheaper than Hanoi on most things and more "tourist friendly" in my experience and opinion. However, I tend to avoid district 1 where all the tourists flock, like districts 3 and 4 better =)
5:32 😂😂
Saigon has a lot of street foods you should to try them. Do not go to the night market in District 1(it's expensive and not good). Try "com tam", "com binh dan", "banh xeo", "hu tieu nam vang", "bun bo hue", "oc(snails)", "com ga xoi mo(fried chicken)", "che(sweet desserts)"... Go to Ho Thi Ky night market, it's better then here.
CEDAR Looks Very CUTE . Please Continue To L👀K After Your Family WELL - They ARE Your Only Assets 😁
That was a wide variety of food. Did you say you moved from Alaska to India? That is contrast of two extreme weather.

Hi
Careful we don't want a buzzed Forrest 😅
Is it for health reasons why she only eats certain stuff . And must be at times where she be like okey she try this or that . Cause if most places don't have those foods how does she eat or drink just curious again
I think I have a crush with that girl in 23:23 lol
For Tacos & Quasadia $26😱😱 that's quite expensive
Really like the way you order too much.
daughter looks homesick
