5 years later and people are still finding these small but really cool details. This game is an absolute masterpiece and it's difficult to see how it can be topped in terms of atmosphere, story telling and world building. One of the greatest games ever created.

At my first playthrough i went to movie tent in valentine out of curiosity. I don't know i watched it for maybe 2 minutes and thought ''huh nice detail'' and left. I didn't expect the ticket seller to ask me why i left early, and didn't like the show. I really felt bad for that f-kin npc being sad 💀 and yea that was a surprise

Yes, it just feels like living coz whatever you try to do, it's already been programmed and there are dialogues for it. The level of interactivity this game has will leave me expecting more from other games for sure.

I dont think Gta 6 is beating this (In terms of realism, like small details)but it will still be one of the best story based game

Imagine that many details, interactions, physics, ragdoll, maybe not the same western quick draw gunplay, but maybe also new ways of shooting, new gunplay options, but in Vice city and also i am pretty sure rockstar is going to be satirizing new american ideas, that will be funny. the whistling thing man that is commitment to game design right there. Have experienced most of these but never noticed the birds stopped chirping which is interesting and also never noticed the difference in whistling before. Some other small details I like. Not only does the water drain when raining, but if you walk around town shortly after the rain has stopped you can see the water runoff coming down from the roofs in little drips. Also like the difference between clean and dirty weapons yes dirty weapons have stat decrease but they also sound different and the gun smoke/handling is different if a gun is too dirty

i love how at 0:32 the camera takes a second to realize arthur isnt on the horse, it's so cartoony.

Didn't you notice the second branch? It is the one that hit him. The first branch is so small to make him fall on from the horse. That's why it's on the second branch that hit him and he falls on the ground.

When I ride with 2 horses, I switch between them like the scouts used to do. Obsessively keeping them brushed and fed. This game has a way of making the boring and mundane stuff fun.

It’s really sad how game graphics don’t change much but optimization keeps getting worse. I can lock my fps to 40 on this and almost never dip on steam deck with low settings+ultra textures and it still looks great, but with newer triple A games on low settings I’ll be lucky to get 30 fps

Because birds and animals in rdr2 has great ai.

I just noticed some new details. If Arthur stands near a beehive he will swat at the bees. Also I was fishing at the area behind shady belle, some cops came to investigate a crime I committed. I was able to hide from them and noticed one sheriff picking up a dead body and put it on his horse.

Even though I knew most of these details before hand I’m still amazed at the amount of love that was poured into this game.

I figured that there would be more animals that are sickly. I've seen mangy rabbits and cougars near Annesburg.

7:35 I got this gunslinger event on my playthrough and I got out of my horse to duel him, but for some reason my horse bolted on his direction and killed him instantly lol

I’ve played through several times. I mean, at this point who hasn’t? 😊 I would like to add two things I’ve recently learned. 1. The lady who is asking for donations has more dialog if you leave after she asks for the donation. I always donate but I was interrupted and when I was back in the area she says “oh! Have you changed your mind then?!” She really wants that $20. 2. Horses don’t just express their feelings by bucking or stamping their feet. A very subtle clue to their temperament is the ears. They will pin back like a cat’s before the big expressions. I guess it’s a clue as to what horse’s saddlebags can be looted without being chest kicked into the afterlife.

This game is a masterpiece, a true work of art, the immersion gives it such a value to be able to play it multiple times over any game ive experienced, i used to play it on xbox and breeze through the game quickly just going around killing and doing malicious things only focusing on the main missions and got bored, but now I got a pc with a 4090 and i9 12900k and now im playing it as if im in the game and im taking my time exploring and doing all activities, it makes me really feel "in it" playing it this way, i went out to a restraunt the other day in real life and i was observing the people and the way people just live and do their thing is so intriguing on how well rockstar captures human life and interaction in this game almost the same way. I hope GTA6 is similar in immersion because immersion is what makes a game enjoyable and more appreciated in my opinion.

These small details add up because I don't find myself just barraging through town on a horse knocking everything over in sight. I had never thought that the construction equipment could be knocked over, but that's only because I wouldn't want to mess it up for the workers - the level of detail subtly crafts the gameplay when the player appreciates that it's there

Most of the people think that GTA6 wont be able to beat RDR2's realism. But i think it will not just beat, it will be way more ahead in terms of realism as compare to RDR2. There are so many reasons, they have taken a long time to work on that project and the leaks says that it will have the most unique, realistic and smartest NPCs ever, plus the world of GTA6 will be more lived in world as they have chosen miami which suits perfect, it has beaches, skyscrapers and lot of clubs. Realism will be at its peak 🤛🔥
