So many amazing and stunning time pieces at that auction! The Patek with the black dial , 3700 & 1518 are my personal favorites, but that yellow gold Rolex Daytona with black dial & Champaign sub dials is def a shoe stopper and stunning. Whoever ends up with any of those is super lucky, can go wrong with Amy of them! Great video, explanations & content, keep up the great work & Killin' it!

Saw you on the other end of the Christie’s auction room😁 I always neglected these auctions since they seemed out of my league but if you put in the effort to do proper research and you can see the watches themselves it’s possible to score something really nice. I took a few home but missed one piece no one was talking about…

There are 3 islands in the Los Angeles Harbor, each named after the Apollo 1 crew. The most northern named after Grissom (33.75941° N, 118.18154° W) followed by White (33.75310° N, 118.15915° W) and then Chaffee (33.73987° N, 118.13911° W)

Adam, thank you for sharing your insightful knowledge on vintage Patek & Rolex. I could listen forever since I am learning from your experience. At 15:29, I need to report a true crime in progress. The person who bought this exquisite Daytona, ref 6263, and never wore it should be banned from the hobby! Obviously now someone is going to buy this watch in new old stock condition, but it is such a tragedy that it has never been worn and enjoyed by the original owner.

Every major auction house has skeletons in their closet. Surprisingly, I do the most biz with AQ and find them to be the most forthcoming of the 4 major houses. But with any auction, it is always caveat emptor. Buyers too often fall under the “I’m buying from Phillips/Christie’s/whatever, so it must be correct!” trap, and don’t do their proper due diligence. That’s a mistake.
