Exploring Park Hall Halt Railway Station site - abandoned closed - Oswestry Gobowen Cambrian Railway
A look at the former Park Hall Halt in Gobowen near Oswestry. The station was opened by the Great Western Railway in 1926 to serve the adjacent Shropshire Orthopaedic Hospital. It closed in 1966 when passenger services to Oswestry were withdrawn, however the line remained open until 1988 for freight.
The Cambrian Heritage Railway own the trackbed now and hope to reopen the line at some point for heritage services having bought a couple of Class 142 Pacer units. There is also a strong local campaign to restart regular scheduled services as well between Gobowen to Oswestry.
The site is in relatively good condition for an abandoned station with the platform and track surviving, and various other original relics such as name board posts.

Thanks for subscribing really appreciate it. I always try to upload a lost station video each week. I believe the Cambrian Heritage Railway are looking to open the section between Oswestry and Gobowen at some point and have already acquired Pacer units ready for this.
i was just looking down on that track from one of the bridges a few weeks back....i couldnt believe the track was still there ;-) Nice film again mate .

@RWHTrains hasn't yet government has said they'll fund a network rail project but will take years to restore I bet
