This is Neil's first appearance on the WatchGecko channel and what a better way to introduce him by exploring his incredible vintage watch collection. Neil has bought only 1 brand new watch since he started his journey as a watch collector, hence why the majority of his watches are scratched and well patined.

What a lovely video, a chat about the joy of watch collecting, rather than whether prices are up or down or why you need the latest hyped watch. Neil's passion for his watches and the collection itself has been a treat to see.

Awesome collection. Would love to see the rest of his collection. Love seeing collectors who have their own quirky identities and find such interesting watches vs the standard ones that show up time and time again

A great video and welcome to Neil. Some great watches on the table today. The Speedy was an interesting piece with the full calendar although not a perpetual calendar. I may be wrong (usually) but I wonder if this movement ended up being the base used for the Longines Men's Master Collection Moonphase Chronograph Watch (Calibre L687 column wheel) but without the moonphase complication. At a guess Omega would have specified it and got it first but being part of the Swatch group ended up in the parts available for Longines once Omega had moved on. Thoughts welcome on that. I love the GP LED watch, I was close to my teens when these were produced in the era when James Bond wore the Pulsar in Live and let Die film. After many decades I scratched the LED itch with the PSR from Hamilton that takes me back to around 12 years old when I wear it with cutting technology at the time. The battery is a few years old now. Thanks for sharing.

I bought and sold watches for more than forty years for a living ! I've had Submariners, Explorers, zenith El Primeros Speedys Accutrons Minervas Hamilton Venturas and others! The first Hamilton Pulsar LEDs ad infinitum that went to food and Rent! 😢 Today I like vintage but can't afford much!

Sadly, it’s so hard to find an affordable vintage piece. Prices in the last few years have made it so harder and it’s almost impossible to get a bargain anymore

I have a 1976 Pulsar P4 - you flick your wrist and the time displays. One of the first smart watches 😂

I also have a Mark 40 (blue dial steel bezel) and also a drivers digital watch (amida digitrend) glad to see my "unique" taste is not unique and that theres also someone who likes quirky vintage watches.

My favourite by far was Richard;s inherited Eternamatic mentioned in passing at the start of the video, which appeared to be a nicely preserved vintage watch Some of Neil's were a bit beaten up for my taste. Interesting collecting philosophy though.

They were battered, and for me, just how I like them. It’s not for everyone and Richard’s Eterna is a real gem

The Eterna is the nicest watch but the 1st generation Vostok Amphibia is the most interesting.
