BEAUTIFUL video, cinematics and that transition 🤯 0:28 was crazy good, I really enjoyed everything... you were short in time as many visitors that underestimate Madrid... More Gran Vía, Plaza de Canalejas, Plaza de la Villa, Puerta del Sol, Santiago Bernabeu, Museo del prado + Real Jardin Botánico + Paseo del Prado (World Heritage Area), Puerta de Alcalá, Plaza de Santa Ana... were not covered but will be there for your well deserved second visit :)

In Madrid there has always been a great party atmosphere and nightlife. It's a very big city with many young university students, so you can find a party every day. Especially after the pandemic, there has been a boom, and there is more ambiance than ever. From large clubs to areas with bars and clubs. If you want a specific recommendation you just have to ask

Travel to Spain and not taste cortado coffe, bombon, con leche etc is incredible. But not taste spanish delicious food, spanish tortilla, bravas, croquetas, albóndigas, al ajillo, ibérico ham, chorizo etc is a crime 😂😂

I know, right? "We don't taste delicious local food because we don't speak Spanish" 😂 guys, like 90% of the 80 million tourists Spain gets every single year. 😂 note that, at this point, these guys have been travelling in Spain for many days before reaching Madrid, so they have been avoiding "non comfort zones", like getting to know actual locals, for days now. Gives you a glimpse of the "adventure"... and the mentality.

Yeah, there are no vegan options in Madrid presumably since they only produce about 50% of the veggies in the UE. Have you heard of olives (some thirty varieties, maybe the most typical tapa of them all), fried almonds, toasted peanuts, aspargus, pickles (tons of them as well), Padron peppers, aubergines from Almagro, potatoes with alioli, mushrooms, pisto...? Come on.

We did eat very well in Madrid to be fair 😅 but the tapas venues usually are very meat and dairy focussed, no?

Meat, poultry, fish, seafood in general, all kinds of vegetables, nuts, different combinations of all of those and I can't think of a single tapa based on dairy (apart from mature cheeses, o.c.). If you run a survey about the most popular tapas in Spain maybe the first ones would be tortilla (Spanish omelette: egg, potatoes and maybe onion, big issue this one, btw), croquetas (can be both with and without meat but just a little, the base being always a white sauce) olives, bravas (fried potatoes with a mildly spiced sauce)...

Where did you get that nonsense about the rooms in the _Oriente_ Palace were built for the king to change rooms everyday? The royal palace was intended not only for hosting the royal family (and his numerous staff) but, more importantly, all the beaurocracy needed for the gvmt of the Spanish Empire.

@@cjexplores, that local guide seems to be quite sloppy or maybe he thinks it's funnier for the ignorant tourists a more imaginative version than the dull, grey and real one (wich maybe he didn't even bother to learn). Btw, most of the "local" Madrid guides use to be Latinamericans (the same as the "local" street performers an the "local" waiters).
