    7:00 I accidentally dropped my DSLR lens on that exact spot some years back.. that was when I made my immediate switch to a GR.. more compact, less hassle, still get the shots I wanted.. hahaha..

    Thanks for another great video! I would happily watch this if it were three times as long. I always learn a lot and gain inspiration for my own photography (with my GRII).

    Thank you for these videos, always so much to learn! The daytime shots of the gate in the beginning with the reflections are very effective. I use the camera for documenting my travels for friends and family. Recently I'm just setting metering to highlight-weighted. There's less to worry about, and especially at low ISOs, bringing up exposure in the computer later is not a problem. For in-camera RAW development one needs to meter more carefully, of course. Some day I would like to try the optional OVF, because at times I find it painful to look at the small screen.

    Damn. Didn't expect photos to be this beautiful. Shocked. Even at 28mm - basically iphone wide lens focal length . Everything it's sharp yet not digital like. Colors are nice. Is it in Positive film mode? Really want one now

    I always shoot in raw and edit at home. I try to go to for a realistic look, but getting the colors juuuuust right is key. I do try to slightly emulate the positive film look by adjusting the green channel balance to the right in the Camera Calibration panel in ACR.

    What is your system for filing your keeper images? To you categorize by date? place? subject matter? Or do you just use metadata tagging to ID everything? I love your channel.

    Thanks for the nice tour! Why do people buy fortunes? Curious why you are not shooting your Nikon gear here?

  • @EYExplore

    @EYExplore

    3 жыл бұрын

    Because... why not? :) Sometimes I shoot with Nikon gear and other times I use Ricoh gear. This video being make for the official Ricoh GR channel, it makes sense to use the Ricoh GR. As for the fortunes, I cannot say as I do not buy them.

    Do you think GRIIIx 40mm lense is more suitable for travel

  • @EYExplore

    @EYExplore

    2 жыл бұрын

    I think both are good, but it really depends on how you prefer to shoot. If you like to get close to subjects then the GR3 is better, but if you like to keep your distance then the GR3x is better. There is obviously a lot more to it than that, but that's the gist. :)
