Started 2020 by visiting the charming city of Kolkata. This was my first time visiting Kolkata, and I had such an incredible time exploring the City of Joy solo. I spent three days sightseeing in Kolkata and vlogged the whole experience for you. Since it was my first time here and I came quite unprepared, I wasn’t sure what all to see, but I managed to cover as much as I could in three days. I visited Princep Ghat, Park Street, Victoria Memorial, Kumortuli, took a metro ride, took a ride in the iconic yellow taxi of Kolkata, saw the tram, and went on an incredible walking tour through the culturally diverse neighbourhoods of Kolkata. I also tried some amazing food, the famous Bengali sweets (mishti doi and sandesh), a few cafes and restaurants around Park street and my favourite: puchkas! Also, in case you didn’t know, Kolkata (or Calcutta) was the capital of India during the British rule, and in Kolkata really felt like I had been transported back in time! I loved the vibe of the city.

Aaawww... I miss Kolkata so much! I’m Filipino but my partner is Bengali so we visit Kolkata quite often. North Calcutta is my favorite part of the city. It’s so old and beautiful. And the food! We did a food walk with Calcutta Walks and it was amazing! But then majority of it was non-veg food so you might not have enjoyed it. I’m still trying to improve my puchka game. My Indian friends are masters of devouring puchka after puchka and sadly, I can’t keep up yet. Need more practice. Love this video and now, I’m itching to go back to the City of Joy.

I think this has to be your best video till date! Absolutely loved it. Never been to Kolkata but after watching this, it's definitely on my bucket list! Also, kind of unrelated but I love how naturally you integrate sponsorships and it's not in your face like some other KZreadrs I've seen. Kudos to you ❤️❤️

Nope. This Kolkata is not as progressive as the post-independence Kolkata of the fifties, sixties and seventies. Mumbai is presently the most advanced city in modern India.

I am from kolkata but honestly speaking this city somewhere stuck in somewhere.. except that durgapuja time nothing s exciting now..I am living in Mumbai for last 2 years..trust me I love the city Mumbai..There s something very refreshing and ambitious about the city when you step in first time in Mumbai you will get some positive energy Nd feel like doing everything,running very fast.

I did my College Study in Kolkata. It's such a beautiful City. I absolutely love it. I feel so nostalgic. I used to eat Gathiya with Raw Papaya Salad every Sunday after my Coaching. ❤️

I'm Bengali bought up in Mumbai and after 30 years I came back here with my maharashtrian husband for job reasons he got transferred. So people in kolkata is very polite and sweet very laid back attitude and not much worried or super ambitious like mumbaikers, and Mumbai is super fast like Mumbai local, people are very straight forward and bit rude, but super professional, city wise Mumbai is India's newyork, always awake vibrant, glittery, posh, and Kolkata is nostalgic.

I am from Kolkata where I moved in December 1959 and in love with the City ! You must have experienced that this city the only place in World where, on one side, you have man pulled rickshaws, last city with tram cars and on the other side you have India,s first underground metro. The most impressive fact about this metro are its warm people which no other metro has !
That photo walk is an experience. Completely changed my perspective on Kolkata.

Next time when you come to Kolkata make sure to visit the Patuli Lake side cause it's a very peaceful place to chill and Visit the college Street cause in that place you can find each an every book you want like if you want 1st hand books you can get,if you want 2nd hand books you can get and the best thing is that if you cannot find a book in college Street the book which you've wanted then you cannot get it from anywhere in Kolkata, and also make sure to visit the most astonishing Coffee House. Btw when you come to Kolkata make sure to do a meet-up I will definitely come❤️🔥

Kolkata is the cultural capital of India and is a city with both traditional and modern features... And the food😋😋😋 People here are very sober.... It is also very economic in terms of prices.

Kolkata is my home town. Glad u loved my city. You could do couple of more things but maybe a later visit. Loved your this vlog! Mainly you missed out on kathi rolls, biriyani, an authentic Bengali food from an authentic Bengali restaurant, a visit to Kaali Mandir, Dhakhineshwar, beautiful saree shops just to get an essence, authentic zamindsr place etc..

Jorasanko Thakur bari, or Tagore`s house, the Belvedere House or the National library, entire South Calcutta & the Rabindra Sarovar lakes, Bhowanipore & Kalighat ! Also the Dalhousie square or the Binay-Badal-Dinesh bag, where u have the iconic Writer`s building ! Not to miss out the Dakshineshwar Kali temple, the Belur Math & many many more !
Even I went to Kolkata the previous year but I could not explore much because of rains, your video shows Kolkata so beautifully!
