What a sky! The cloud formations were so amazing! And the park is so peaceful and beautiful.

I love the pyramid... It's really cool when you're standing under it while at the entrance of the museum. Its modern lines juxtaposes perfectly with the traditional palace architecture. The transparency of the glass panels creates a cool effect, especially at night.

I was to the «Beauty & Ugliness in Architecture 2024» in Oslo this weekend, so nice weather on Saturday! 75.000 people run the Holmenkollen Maraton that day. I stayed inside the most of the day, but in the evening I made some street photography at Grünerløkka. Grünerløkka was to be demolished during the 60'ies, but after huge protests it was saved, and is now the most popular and photogenic part of Oslo. The new parts at Bjørvika though are horrible! Look forward to see all the beauty of Paris next year! At the conference I learned that the "Swiss Style" started in Paris in the early 18'th hundreds, where this style later came to Norway and developed into the famous Norwegian Dragon Style! Emperor Wilhelm II loved the Dragon Style and built two palaces in this style, one in Germany and one in today's Kaliningrad. In Normandie the "Swiss Style" developed into Neo-Normandie, I'll look for these buildings in Rouen, as I saw some very nice pictures of Neo-Normandie houses in a book at the conference. Could you please make an episode of the origins of the Swiss Style in Paris, which spread to the whole of Europe, and developed into the famous Norwegian Dragon Style? Please visit the most important Swiss Style - houses from the origins of this style in Paris! I LOVE the Dragon Style, and want to learn as much I can about its origins in Paris before we go there next year 🙂

At first, I wasn't sure I liked the pyramid, but now I can't imagine the Louvre without it.

Thank you for taking me back to my happy place: the Tuileries garden! Love, love, love it, especially the Aristide Maillol statues (particularly La Nuit, near the beautiful Arc du Carrousel). Perfect garden for a stroll or a light lunch (picnic). It is delightful in every season! As for the controversial pyramid ... I was one of the people who initially looked upon it in horror ... Until I stood in front of it! I started accepting it as part of the landscape in a living city that tells an ever-evolving story of its' inhabitants, and now I can't imagine Paris without it. Another excellent video! Merci!!!

I was in Paris a month ago (for the second time) and I love the Tuileries Garden. One of my favorite sculptures is Theseus and the Minotaur 🇫🇷

Love the Tuileries. Love the Christmas market that's built there every year. Best hot dog I ever ate was from a stand (during the summer) at the Tuileries, well over 20 years ago. The other main controversy over the Louvre Pyramid was that it was designed by Chinese-American architect, I.M. Pei, and not a French architect. But as you said, it has grown in the hearts and minds of the French people and it has now become an iconic part of Paris. Love watching your videos every day and getting my little “Paris fix.” Can’t wait to get back there… definitely AFTER the Olympics.
