Bonjour Théo! I miss the old Le Bus Direct which had comfortable motorcoaches with direct service between Etoile and both airports. Too bad they have been discontinued. Last month, I took the Orlyval + RER just to see what it was like - never again! Next time I will travel by OrlyBus if flying via Orly. Au revoir!

For the navigo metro carte, the RATP app will allow to keep it and update it on your phone... If you have a French phone! 😂It wouldn't allow me to use my USA phone to do it. Otherwise the app is good.

I would recommend an arrondissement with access of the Line 12 of the metro, like the 15th or the 7th !

Yes be careful about pick pockets.. i was there in march with my family and was pick pocketed at the gare de nurd station the first day i landed and was heading to the airbnb from airport. Was getting on the train helping my wife and kids load up the carry on luggage when a black man started pushing the luggage and yelling at my wife. This got me upset and i confronted the man, in the mean time while i was distracted another black man got behind me and took my wallet which i didnt feel or noticed ( my wife saw it and told me later).. so the plan was to cause a commotion and grt u distracted and pick pocket you. Its sad and unfortunate that this happened to me in front of my kids. I love paris, the culture, the history and have been there many times but this incident really got me not wanting to go back. A french woman saw came to help me and called the police for me. Beautiful nice french lady that kept apoligizing for what happened to me.

Unfortunately these thieves give Paris a bad reputation. I do hope you'll come back with your family. Keep wallets, phones etc in inside pockets and bags zipped and close to you.
