Exploring Inside Victoria Clock Tower "Dockers Clock,6 Faced Clock" Salisbury Dock, Liverpool 2022

possibly the last time i will be in this place a complete chance explore this one.
I have been in here numerous times but Eric hadn't so off we went to see if we could get in or at least onto the grounds.
must admit it was good to see the old girl again and not much has changed with her in the last 10 or so years since I was last inside.
was a bit of a mission getting up to this with recent works going on with bramley moore dock etc but we managed it somehow.
cheers to ERICA for the use of his footage and pictures

Watched this video with my dad today! He worked for MD&HC for many years and had gone to see the clock the day before!!! He couldn't even get near it and was so upset to see the deterioration of the dock and also the clock. My dad said there used to be an engine in it and it set the foghorn off, he used to have to light it and then run back to his office. I didn't really understand the logistics of it but we both really enjoyed your video. How on earth though has this clock been allowed to fall into such disrepair??? I thought it was grade 11 listed. How have Liverpool Council allowed this to happen?? Can't we start some kind of campaign to get this saved for future generations??? My dad was so sad about this surely even the Port authority or the maritime museum should be doing something!!

If that Tower doesn`t qualify for some sort of grant to restore it, there is no justice. I love the Liverpool Docks area, not only because that`s where I grew up but it is part of our Country`s never mind our City`s, heritage. I work on The Railway and my job takes me down to The Docks, as such I have often wandered around old Buildings and the remnants of old cranes. In places, the old Railway lines, between docks are visible and I always say to myself, If only this place could Talk. What a great job lads, keep em coming 👍👍

Nice, they used to store the pre cast concrete and steel Rebar on that dock front when L1 was being constructed,I worked on the L1 site right through and seen the original dock wall being excavated…great video George….

Hope this isn't another landmark they are going to jet fall into ruin..well worse than now. Many years ago in the 80s I used to go to a " afternoon " drinking den called the landfall. It was on a boat moored in the Dock and that clock was right outside the window..porthole !

Fabulous video, thank you. It’s a tragedy this beautiful building has been restored, just left to rack and ruin. I live in Scotland, but we come down to Liverpool 3 times a year and always go on the ferry, and the Dockers Clock is always pointed out. I LOVE your videos. 🙏🙏🙏🙏
