Exploring Bosnia & Off-Road Track through Montenegro’s Mountains!

Hey! We're Camillo and Anouk and we converted Dakar our 4x4 Mitsubishi Pajero into a camper. Over the next few months, we’re going to travel along the Balkans and head South towards Greece, before the winter catches us!
We started our journey in late summer and drove from Germany to Croatia and are now heading towards Bosnia Herzegovina and Montenegro - We hope to give you some interesting insights! We made this little video for friends, family and maybe just for ourselves in a few years to remember our journey.
See you soon,
Millo & Nouki :)

That belt problem is so common on pajeros. The two belt system with uneven wearnof the belt may be the reason. A constant battle. Nice video.

We didn’t need to tighten them often, in the last two years maybe 4 times… :)

This is great content! I'm loving your videos, and everything you people are doing. What does the Arabic statement on Dakar mean?

Nice to hear, Thank you!😊 The Arabic writing means “Friendship between Nations”, but we were told that it sounds much deeper and poetic in Arabic. English simply can’t grasp it totally:)

Danke!

Great video, looks awesome :) Where do I find the backroads you were on in Bosnia in the landmine zone? And do you definitely need a 4x4 to take them or can an adventurer do it in a car or van?

Thank you! In the south of Bosnia, along the border to Croatia (we were near the border crossing Ivanica) are a lot of these small roads where the land mines have not been cleared yet. I would recommend a 4x4 you never know what obstacles you’ll encounter… Some will be fine with a normal car but I would advise against a van as some bends can be very tight and narrow. I’m sure there are nicer tracks in the region, we just drove off the main road to find a sleeping place and then continued the next day, nothing too special :)

Hey guys, u made a beautiful video. Me and my girlfriend were in BiH last year too, but what did i just heard from you? Why would we need to check in to the police station that part i didn't get? Can tou explain more, i think that was just a husle to get some money off you. We have been in BiH for 10 day's and no one had asked for nothing. How weird was that?

Thank you! The government wants to stop the unregistered rental of accommodation, each night needs to be registered. At least officially it is handeld differently in each Balkan country… Which is difficult if you are sleeping in a car!

@@minoukis I understand what they are trying to do, but for us overlanders its hard to do that. I was talking to a frend of mine who's been in BiH countless times over many years with his adventure bike and didn't register once had no problems. You would think its enough to know when and where you crossed borders in and out, they do have a system for that. I think u just ran into a moody police woman, and she got 50€ out of it. Well I wish you all the best on your endeavours, if your in Slovenia ever again do get in touch, could show u around or give u some ideas. ✌🏻

Yes, it’s really annoying… That’s true, we also thought that the lady from the border just wanted to get some extra money😅 not so nice. Thank you for the offer to visit you in Slovenia!
