Beautifully made docu about the Mayan ruins! I can't wait for part two. Years ago i was fortunate to visit Tulum, before tourism took over. I cherish my photographs & memories from that visit :)

Chichen Itza is awe inspiring and the clouds of copal incense lends a magical inference to the whole site.

climbing to the top of the pyramid at Coba is no longer permitted. was just there in december. a fantastic place to visit en route to either chichen itza or the other way to tulum. there are still ruins available to climb on however, and renting one of the old bikes and cruising around the jungle is super interesting. along the way you'll see various mounds that are basically just uncovered small pyramids, ruins, etc. really fun!

So, they were so technologically advanced that they could build something so sophisticated that even we can’t replicate nowadays, and yet, they were so primitive that they made human sacrifices to please gods? I am not buying it. I believe those pyramids were there way before Mayans, and they just took over… same thing with Egyptian pyramids

Not really understanding where this disassociation from spirituality and intelligence is coming from just because they had spiritual beliefs that you don’t share doesn’t mean that they were master builders and engineers you sound very close minded

It would help if the narrator used the accepted pronunciations of the various Mesoamérican languages. Also Chichén Itza was maybe as much Toltec as Mayan.

Liking the content enough. Still not convinced this isn't AI generated. Narrator reads like a robot. No effort given to pronounce the names. In this techno crazed world it's hard to know. All truth is mixed up in a bunch of bs anyway, amirite???
